Comparison: Design MAT Foundations In ETABS & Verify With SAFE 

In this tutorial, we want to model, analyze and design a MAT foundation in ETABS and we will get help from SAFE16 for verify the results between ETABS and SAFE. What the results show is very promising and the comparison shows that the results are very close to each other (Soil Pressure, Foundation Deformation, Punching shear ratio and ... ) and it can even be claimed that the Foundation model in ETABS is more accurate than SAFE. However, simultaneous modeling of the structure with the foundation causes changes in the structure results compared to the case where the foundation is not modeled in ETABS.
