Comparison of Airbus A321 XLR and Boeing 737 max 9.
The Boeing 737 Max is a longer version of the 737-900, with a fuselage that is longer than the Max 8. Boeing has increased the range of its aircraft to 6,676 kilometres. With an order for 201 planes in 2012, Lion Air was the first customer. It took off for the first time on April 13, 2017.
The inaugural flight of the Airbus A321 took place in 1993, and it is predominantly employed by American, China Southern, and Delta airlines. Airbus has constructed 2418 planes so far and will continue to do so until 2021. It now has a new variation, the A321 neo.

I think I can make this comparison easy. # 1. I vote for the big airplane that will stay in the air, and not fall uncontrollably out of the sky, more often then the other. # 2. Giving passengers a more comfortable trip and not cramming in more and tighter seats for each person. We are not Sardines. We are not cattle. We are humans the last time I checked. Bye Merry Christmas 🎅🏻🧑‍🎄 Stay healthy 😁🌲👍🏼

In the past I will chose B737max with no doubt but after 2 tragedies, even Boeing said MCAS had been fixed .I still do NOT prefer B737max. While A321XLR is New and just taking off today for the first time, if I am operator's CEO ,I will choose A321XLR. Some pain is quite tough to erase from people mind. Same price ,more range ,but who know one day b737max will behave strange without pilot knowledge again, in the near future. Safe side ,A321XLR will be better.

Not really a fair comparison. A closer match would be the MAX-10 which was designed as a direct response to the XLR. Unfortunately certification of the MAX-10 is delayed giving the XLR a huge advantage. Word on the street is that the MAX-10 is more efficient, burning less fuel per hour due to the fact that it is lighter. The XLR however has a greater range due to its higher fuel capacity.

Why are these two airplanes compared against each other? MAX 9 has a range of 3,800 miles while the A321 XLR 5,410 miles. A321neo has a similar range (4000 miles) and capacity and is the correct plane to compare to. Or Max 10 vs A321 XLR. Howver, none of these planes are currently flying. The first MAX 10s will be delivered in early 2025 (at least) while the XLR in early 2024.

I think the 737 max 9 is better than the A321neoxlr because it's cheaper, so airlines save more money. Plus, Boeing has been around since 1917 and Airbus started in the 1970s, and I can't believe that an aircraft manufacturer that has been around for 40 years is trying to take down Boeing. Boeing makes better aircrafts than Airbus, and has a longer history. As for Airbus where their aircrafts are sold more to airlines.

Well let's say it: Boeing has a longer history but Airbus has more experience in future technology such as Fly-by-wire and subsequent systems. And one thing which is most important: Airbus has morality, they listen to their engineers and don't dare to bring out a potentially dangerous aircraft like the B737-8MAX. this is why Airbus has been the largest aircraft Manufacturer since 2019

And leg space, well, every airline could make legspace by placing the seats further dinstanced from each other…If they want to.
