In kerala Onam ,Eid, Xmas or even aniversary of Temple etc etc so called what ever festival Keralites are ready to enjoy .they don't care about Hindu,Muslim, christian etc etc... Overall Kerala people are simple as well as complicated yet fun loving & caring people. Their unity is awesome.. Kerala is truly a unique place to visit & live.❤
Onam is also the biggest festival of Kerala. Holi, deepavali etc are almost a big celebration in kerala. It is mostly celebrated by pepple having roots in different state
Mahabali story is just a story... Actually Onam is related to harvest (malayalam month "chingam". Thats in august, september months )...so onam celebrated by all people of kerala.. There is no differnence in any religion for the festival of kerala
Lol who created Malayalam months? Its the Brahmins Malayalam claendar is not even 2000 years old because when one particular group of Brahmins came to Kerala they made Kerala culture primarily based on Vaishnava traditions. And all the Malayalam calendar are made by them, all the rituals etc is based on these months. Other religions dont follow these motnhs for their religious conduct
12,500 years ago Kerala Danava King Mahabali was banished from Kerala to Patala (today's Peru) by Vishnu Avatar Vamana to setup democracy there. King Mahabali is known as 'Manco Cápac' (Founder of Incas civilization) in Inca language. Onam festival connects us back to the old Danava civilization. The planet had only one way of life once, Hinduism. 🚩🛕🙏
Onam ka woh story main kuch problem hai. Kerala ke aam logom ko real story patha nahi hai. Puran main jo Daitya king Bali hai na usi ko hi Mahabali bolte hai. According to Wikipedia Himachal main use Balraj bolte hai. Bali Bhulok or Swarlok sab Capture kiya tha. Isliye Devom aur Dev Mata Adhiti ke Prartana se Mahavishnu Vaman avatar lete hai. Actually Onam Vamana Jayanti hai. Isliye Garke samne " Thrikkakara Appan" Rakte hai. Thrikkakara appan Bagwan Vamanji ko bolte hai. Thrikkakara ek place ka naam hai. Waha Bagwan Vamanji ka Mandir hai. Isliye 'Thrikkakara Appan' bolte hai. Kerala ke logom ka aisa viswas hai ki Vaman Jayanti ke din hi Bali praja ko dekne aayenge. Baki Poore Bharat main koi aur din hai. Wikipedia :- Balipratipada (Bali-pratipadā), also called as Bali-Padyami, Padva, Virapratipada or Dyutapratipada, is the fourth day of Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights.[2][3] It is celebrated in honour of the notional return of the daitya-king Bali (Mahabali) to earth.
It is a Hindu festival, the term Onam originates from Shravanam, the Sanskrit word denoting the month Shravana as per Hindu Calender. Even though Muslim clerics have pointed out its Haram to celebrate Onam, most people who live in kerala with indegenous Hindu roots celebrate it 💯
Hinduism is not a religion, it's our culture. It's truly respected by others in Kerala. We, other religious people was accepted by Hindus that's why we are happy here. We all celebrate Onam with full enthusiasm. In Trivandrum, capital city of Kerala, we have Temple and Mosque areas partitioned by one wall. That shows we are all one.
@@BinduBinoy-i6f Cases are pending regarding the mosque being built on that Temple's land, so I don't want to go into details or controversies regarding the one sided secularism in Kerala, but there are people who are finding creative ways trying to say Onam is Kerala's festival, so is Vishu, Thrissur pooram and pretty much every other local feativals, they all have roots in the indegenous culture, ie, Sanatan Dharma 💯
Onam is celebrated by all Keralaites/malayalees . People of all religions celebrate Onam. Due to its uniqueness peolpe who are staying in kerala but not malayalees, also celebrate ONAM. Its a secular festival. Onam is the celebration of yearly visit of Asura King to see his people. As years passed people linked it to religion.
