Great comparison! I think I like the looks of the Skylar more, but wish it was a little bigger.

discod True Skylar is smaller..and no outside pocket.. I ended up returning it..check out Skylar satchel.. I got 2 of the colors.. they are also different materials. In the photo the bags look like the leather is very supple and will give it the sagging look but I don't see that in photos and videos. I like that look, would it sag like that if something was in it?

How to know which one is retail or outlet version of the bag

Umm..if you are ordering from fossil.com, they mention at end of description...Made for outlet. Also if you buy from retail stores like Macy's etc. It is retail. But if you buy from Fossil outlet, it is generally outlet and you can ask there if they've any retail models as well on floor or not. Generally, the way these companies work is they create similar bags and name it differently and of course the style or quality or design or all of them are different.
