While I believe in this video the DIY sounded much more fuller and got more punches and dynamics, But I wish the camera was station in one place so we can truly hear the differences. As we all know that recording a video of sounds from speakers can sound very different if the camera move from one place to another, even if we only shift the camera one foot in any direction can change the recording sounds drastically. The room acoustic is different each time the video switch from the DIY to the Micro-Seiki, this I assume is because the camera was move to a different angle and place.
@@mrb2917 Agreed. The DIY sounds very shouty & tiring. I don't think you could listen to it for lengthy periods. The micro is mellower and sounds more like music. It's kind of like the difference between a bright room and a dark room, at first you think the bright one is better but after a while, fatiguing.
Fоr me diy sounds like a not properly designed vent loudspeaker. I think it's about a high effective mass and cartridge/tonearm resonances around 100Hz. Such long (and heavy) tonearms must have a spring instead of a counterweight imho.
