Last Wednesday, the Murdock City Council heard a representative from the Asatru Folk Assembly-a whites only, ethnic-based religion-who is applying for a condition use permit so they can operate out of a church in a residential part of town. The public was also given the opportunity to speak on the issue and most spoke against the permit request.
The City Council will decided to approve or deny the AFA's request at their November 4 meeting.

Frankly it is ridiculous that people cannot practice religion of their ancestors simply because of how politically correct people feel they need to be. This religion is native religion for Europeans it is cultural appropriation for anybody else to be involved. It has nothing to do with somebody intentionally being barred because of color or any of that it's literally a religion of our ancestors. It would make as much sense for a black person who practice this as it would for a white person to be practicing voodoo. Not your culture not your religion move on stop faking like you're offended by something you don't even have knowledge on

@@pyresflood for some people I'm sure it does but my main point really didn't have anything to do with color per se perhaps Voodoo wasn't the best choice to use it comes down to the it's a different culture Voodoo was never part of white culture until all intermixing started. It's a great thing for society's to obviously know about each other to study each other a bit so they can interact with one another I just don't believe that one culture should take religious practices from tribal religions and then try to make them their own so they can feel woke

I would love for them to do a follow-up video on this. Asking people in Murdock how they feel about this church now and how the relationship with their town has gone? I heard that they hold food drives and toy drives and a bunch of other charity there in the town.

I could sit here and give you the tired line that this wouldn't be a big deal maybe even encouraged if this were blacks prativing some voodoo or tribal tradition at the exclusion of others but you already know there's a double standard the question is why do you still follow the rules?

I think they are a hate group if they won't allow gay people of their clan to join and support them. I believed in the preservation of them families and erecting more churches but I couldn't see supporting them if I was just looked at as abomination and could not get married at one of the temples I just wanna love my own people but they won't let me love them.

Church is not about culture. Church is above culture. Church is about good news of salvation in Jesus Christ. And that good news if for everybody, gentiles, Jews, blacks, whites, etc. Christ commanded that all should be one in Christ . If other cultures doesn’t have Christ as Lord, they will exclude people. So in Christ is not that way, otherwise you are not following the Bible Jesus, you are following your own concept of a Jesus. And if your church is for blacks, or whites, only, then this is not the church of Christ. See John 17:21-23; John 3:16; John 10:16-18.
