This is one of those books where the name and cover are so fitting. I gotta disagree with you. For me, chapter 1 was captivating and really pulled me in. And I think it continued to be my favorite until the end.
Just finished reading this as part of the 2022 Ursula LeGuin prize shortlist. What a beautifully prepared video. Really appreciated your review. I liked this book but wasn't wowed by it. Would like to reread once to see if my first impression holds or I appreciate it more.
