Naruto Ultimate Ninja Series from PS2 Era will always have a special place in my heart and soul, these are the most unique Naruto games for me, only Storm 1 was coming close to these Masterpiece Naruto games, especially from gameplay features perspective, I don't know exactly why, but for me, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Series from PS2 Era are so nostalgic, unique and divine at the same time, I have so many memories during my childhood by playing these Unique Naruto games, Naruto games from PS2 Era was always very close to the anime itself because of the unique vibe and charm☯️ #Nostalgia #Childhood #Memories ☯️

I completely agree that the gameplay was polished and completely encapsulated the feeling of the Naruto series. The awakenings, jutsus, and character rosters were very well conceived. The ideas that the developers had for the ultimate jutsus in the later games were fantastic and they made some great choices based on what was in both the manga and anime. These games were one of a kind and have not been replicated since. Storm 1's free roam world and jutsu variety among the characters was most similar to what we had with the Ultimate Ninja series. Ultimate Ninjas 1-5 stories were all good while doing slightly different things to tell the Naruto story. I truly miss Naruto games with this much care put into them.
@@tornflame3386 That's why for me OG Naruto Ultimate Ninja Series I always like it to revisited from time to time, maybe yes... I'm too blinded because of Nostalgia... but for the Storm Series what I can actually say about them it's only this: For me Storm 1 will remain the most Unique one from the series and the closest to the anime itself because of the very dynamic gameplay features, my reasons: Intro of characters before the encounter, unique jutsus that didn't came back to the other Storm games, longer and diverse movesets for almost any character, Awakenings in Storm 1 have also Ultimate Jutsus, Jutsus Clashes and Wall Fighting... and I can go on and on to state it why Storm 1 gameplay was the most unique one from the Storm Series, just try to Imagine Storm 4 gameplay with Storm 1 gameplay features, In my opinion that will be the Perfect Storm game. The First Storm game has the most Unique gameplay features perspective and the particular presentation of the game was so ahead of it's time in my opinion, the only downside of the first Storm game was the very lacking Story Mode Interactions, and from Storm 3 the developers cut and shortned the movesets of characters, that's why I don't agree with their choices. (By the way, my favourite Storm games and I will put them in my personal order will be: 1.Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 and Generations. (these have my favourite vibe and charm of the anime itself because of the dynamic gameplay features) 2. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2( for the unique Story and some Unique Boss Battles and let's not forget that Iconic "Calm Before the Storm" OST from the Characters Selection Screen and many more diverse soundtracks) 3. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst (Because of the more well-rounded diverse Story Perspective and very epic Boss Battles and also the soundtrack "Outside Konoha" and others soundtracks as well) 4. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (mostly because of the unique option to change/switch between your characters team during the fight, this particular option mechanics should've been already in the game from the very first Storm game in my opinion) 5. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution (because of the abused and annoying Counter mechanic) 🤷🏻♂️
@@DavidLucian I can agree with these takes overall. Even though Storm 1 is missing important awakenings like butterfly choji, its awakenings do allow the player to use ultimate jutsus which is just like the original Ultimate Ninja. Moreover, the combos were shortened in Storm 3 and sped up in Storm 4 which makes characters attack on steroids and shred HP through combos instead of jutsus. The game is definitely different since the addition of the substitution bar in gens. I loved gens aesthetic, story, and collectibles however, while I skipped Rev because of its unnecessary additions to combat and nerfs to some characters. The original Ultimate Ninja games have the most flavor to them though, even more than Storm 1 which had the cool Hidden Leaf to explore with collectible jutsus. Still does not compare to the vairety off collectibles in original ultimate ninja games though. I especially liked how Ultimate Ninja 1 and 2 had the manga shading style. The characters really looked like the manga but in 3D, which was a really great art style. The stories of the 5 ultimate ninja games do not have the cinematics of the storm games, but still are either well voice acted with great music for the time. Ultimate Ninja 5 introduced tag team jutsus way before we saw them in Rev (which really should have been a ps4 or xbox one game tbh). Another naruto video game series that really does Naruto right are the Clash of Ninja or Gekitou ninja taisen games, but they don't have the same feeling as ultimate ninja and are more Tekken like in terms of combat. From a competitive standpoint I believe those are more popular than Ultimate Ninja and further balanced, but high level Ultimate Ninja looks crazy cool. The closest thing we had to the taunt awakenings and other easy to trigger awakenings in this game was the instant awakening in Storm 3, which was immediately removed in Revolution for some reason. My favorite storm game is hard to say, but I do ultimately enjoy the polished and speedy combat in Storm 4. Connections really let me down due to its changes to the story fights and omissions. Next to storm 4 I love Gens the most. It felt like the most balanced, and the first Storm game to feel modern. Storm 1 and 2 are fun to play, I really enjoy Storm 2's faithful adaptation of the story and badass fights. Storm 2's OST is also nostalgic ear honey that I constantly come back to. The calm before the storm, sakura's good fight, Huge Midair Bombardment, and so many other good tracks that are just so damn good. Storm 2 is missing the longer ultimate jutsus that made Storm 1 feel more alive though. Storm 1 also had Jutsu clashes, ultimate jutsu in awakening, and multiple jutsus obtainable for each character.
