Got legit chills from this. Have you ever heard someone call your name but nobody is in the house? Happened to me once. Thought I was crazy. Never happened again. Husband has had it happen but it was MY voice he heard. I wasn't home.

Does anyone else remember that story where a guy went to the movies and he was the only one in the theater and then he saw someone poking their head up from a row of seats looking at him. And it kept getting closer and he decided to leave because he was freaked out and when he walked by the row it was someone holding up a severed human head. That story is the one that has stayed with me and freaked me out the most to this day 😅

The first story is a channel classic, I feel like everyone from this channel has heard it multiple times. After hearing the first sentence I *immediately* knew what story it was.

I think I have an explanation for the one about the crawlspace. Someone was stalking his house and recorded his mom saying his name, explaining why it always sounded the same. They then used that recording to try to lure him into the crawlspace. Simple.

the cabin story really creeped me out , the realization "the owner was MURDERED 2 years ago" bro imagine being in that situation

I guessed that first story, soon as the first sentence was uttered I remembered it like a core memory. It’s such an iconic horror story personally because it sounds like something straight out of a film, allegedly it’s real or at least real enough to get a response out of me in the middle of listening.

The reason why Mr. Nightmare is so popular is his no-nonsense delivery. I rarely subscribe to “true horror” channels because the majority of the narrators either have a voice I don’t like or speak with some sort of affected voice, trying to be scary or edgy or literate or urban or whatever. But while Mr. Nightmare delivers each story in a very straightforward manner, he knows when to use inflection properly. In other words he doesn’t overdo it so that when he does do it it’s effective. As a side note, I think he is also Chilling Scares. If not that channel is a hell of a copy cat. Either way it’s pretty good so if you like Mr. Nightmare you might wanna check Chilling Scares out.

Anyone remember that story where a guy was walking down a street and saw a lanky man dancing forth with a huge smile, looking at the sky? That's the one that freaked me out most.

The story of that kid hearing their mom call their name reminds me of a time, many years ago- So everybody was home and I was in the kitchen and I suddenly heard my mom call my name as clear as day. I went to the room she was staying in and said 'Huh?' and she told me she hadn't called me so I went asking my other siblings but they said no one called me. I was confused and just continued on with my day lol. My family isn't the type to suddenly call me without any reason or just for a 'prank' so... yeah *shrug* I remember my mom telling me that if you suddenly hear your name being called to not respond to them because she says it's a spirit trying to take you with them. I don't know how true that is though lol

As a former pizza delivery driver, I can honestly say I have had a few really scary things/situations happen to me...which is why I not only believe story 1, it freaks me out. People don't realize how dangerous that job can actually be...

The first story always reminds me of a story I had as a pizza delivery driver. I showed up to this seemingly abandoned house, I was told to go to the back. I was scared but had pepperspray. Nobody ever showed up luckily so it was probably a prank, but it felt as if I was being watched.

I remember the original sleep paralysis video. It's the only one that I can't watch again because it freaked me out that much

The picture of the demon thing in the last story was genuinely terrifying. I almost jumped upon seeing the face and felt goosebumps on my arm. Think my heart dropped too.

I swear the first story in this video is the one that made me remember this channel for years and periodically revisit it. The audio effects Mr. Nightmare put in only amplified everything. That was such a terrifying listen my first time too so naturally I feel warm knowing it affected him the same way lol

Story 5 has always been the creepiest one I’ve heard on this channel. Sleep paralysis stories was the scariest in general. Especially that image at 16:30 holy crap.

Sleep paralysis is honestly one of the most horrifying things that can happen to you. Alot of sleep paralysis stories are similar to the last one.

Story 2, whether real or fictional, has got to be one of the greatest short stories I've ever heard

I watched this last year (shortly after it was uploaded) while I was trying to sleep and woke up to one of the creepiest faces I’ve ever seen before in my life… needless to say I was up All Night after that and had trouble sleeping for almost a week following it. This is the best horror video/content I’ve seen to date (I’m 23 years old, so not that much time but still)

I like this idea, hopefully you do a part 2 with more stories that creeped you out. Makes it easy for me since I love to listen to your videos over and over, sometimes even fall asleep to them.

I wish you didn’t delete your older videos like your story The Trailer, the Creepypasta stories, and videos like the Bigfoot sightings, they were so nostalgic for me. But, I’m so happy for the success you’ve achieved Mr Nightmare. I wish the best for you and can’t wait for more uploads. ❤

The one with the mom calling the boy, it could've been the wendigo or skinwalker as they have the ability to mimic voices

Sleep paralyses can be incredibly credible, especially as you just has woken up. I have seen huge-ass spiders crawling in the ceiling, and as soon as I gain control of my body I flew out of my bed. Of course, nothing is there, but they look so real and convincing.

16:27 This is exactly what I saw, the first time I experienced sleep paralysis as an adolescent. It’s incredible how many people apparently have had that same experience. Felt like pure evil and it was so real to me that I genuinely thought something was in my room, and woke up my parents to check the house.

Scariest one for me was the one called "The peering head" or something, don't remember if I saw it on your channel or not. But it was just in time for when I moved to a different city for studying, so I was in a new place all by myself. Could barely sleep that night as the slightest noise would freak me the hell out xD

I watched you as a kid when you made that chuck e cheese creepy pasta video, and instantly started to love you're content and have always watched you then, I still watch and love you're content. Thank you for the nostalgia and entertainment throughout the years

Story 4 will always be the most terrifying to me. Even if it isn't true, it's still a fear inducing tale. It's short, simple, but effective in the way that it features a fear of manipulation, deception from someone pretending to be a close family member. I think anyone would be shitting their pants at the thought of someone pretending to be your own mother, especially in your own home.

All these stories are truly disturbing but the 2nd one gets me every time I hear it. I can’t imagine the horror that person felt when the old lady told them that the owner was murdered 2 years prior. Shivers = timbered 😂

You went into the basement and no mom. You called her and it took half an hour to convince her. Parents, listen to your kids! Don't brush off what they're telling you! Look into it! Do some investigating. Even if it turns up empty at least it shows you believed them and they will continue to have faith in you. You as parents are the most important people in their lives.

In my head Mr Nightmare is the living embodiment of well nightmares and if a story scares HIM, then they are CERTAIN to be pure horror fuel

THE FIRST STORY is legit engraved in my memory because i had a rlly bad nightmare about it when i was a kid LOL

Sleep Paralysis is the ABSOLUTE WORST! It's literally hell! For the 1st 18y of my life I didn't even know what it was called! Only that I was scared witless when it did! & That I had intuitively been doing the "fix" or "trick" to help this all along all by myself. Bc it was something I didn't talk about to my family bc it was too much & traumatizing. & I was afraid it meant something really bad. Later I learned that a LOT of Drs & Scientists believed Sleep Paralysis was the reason for all the alien abduction stories & demon possessions that ppl claim happen in their bed at night where they literally CANNOT move only watch. Bc you're in between the diff cycles of sleep where your 🧠 is awake & hasn't got the signal to your body yet & that it's ACTUALLY quite common to believe you see things in your room in that want to get you. Your eyes aren't all the way open & it makes things hazy & like ½ of your mind is still asleep & stuck. Idk all the stuff it's been a while since my deep dive. I just know that bc of my personal hellish exp w\it, that any horror shows, books, TV whatever, I am even MORE terrified than normal in those parts & more so than other ppl around me who don't suffer that. But last I checked there's no cure for it. When it happens, you focus on 1 part of your body like your pinky or your toe & just focus on trying to twitch it or move it & it will automatically shock you out of it. & Thankfully the ordeals have lessened a LOT since I was a kid! & Now it's not constant & at times even rare!

That first story was the first one I ever heard from you!! I was twelve, sitting in the big black chair of our dimly-lit "computer room" and I was legit frozen. Didn't move again til my parents called me upstairs for pizza but I've LOVED RU-vid horror narrations ever since

For the 5th story, the sounds remind me of the Grudge type noises, but seriously tho, the image to resemble a floating head creeped the hell out of me, and the fact that it felt so damn real from their perspective

I own a 22 acres of heavily forested land here in central Texas. I love to solo camp out there. Well, a few years ago, in the late afternoon in late fall, I was out there setting up for my nightly campfire when I hear strange whistling and erratic footsteps. So I’m standing there like WTF. I mean, it is my land and I don’t do trespassers. Suddenly, maybe some 50’ to my left, I hear “Pop-Goes-the-Weasel” whistled, followed by a titter. Then slowly, a clown head starts to poke out from behind a large tree. The fucker was grinning. The makeup was all smeared and shitted up. He then steps into full view. The clown’s outfit was tattered and filthy. And, from behind his back, he draws a large machete and says “Let’s play!” So this was during that clown outbreak or whatever. So I just kinda blink, a little stunned by the sudden randomness of it all. He starts to walk towards me. Well, I’m ex-law enforcement and military spec ops, believe it or not, so I was like “Ok, let’s play…” as I drew the .357 magnum that I carry with me for the hogs. I started power-walking straight toward that fucker and told him to get down on the ground. Oh, how his eyes went wide before he turned and bolted while yelling “I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” I still laugh thinking about that shit. Hope that dude learned his lesson, cuz even if it was a prank, it could have still gotten his head blown off. 2 to the chest and 1 to the head with a .357 mag is not gonna be pretty. Just to play it safe tho, I decided not to camp overnight that time… **Edit: Yes, this IS a true story lol..,

The mom's voice in the basement one brought me to tears. It made me imagine some kind of fourth dimension time bend where the mom's future spirit might be calling out to her son.

1. I love Mr. Nightmare's storytelling. He never fails to give me chills, especially on a cold day or night when it's raining out 2. The fourth story gave me chills. I've had nightmares of this happening, but with my dad. Someone pretending to be my dad standing at the end of a street, telling me to follow him only for it to be a disfigured version of him. It always ended right when the weird version of my dad would turn around, and I'd always wake up shaking. It's always terrified me thinking of something that imitates someone close to you in order to lure you towards it.

Hearing all of these stories, old and new is quite nostalgic for anyone who has been watching Mr.Nightmare for a long time.

That crawlspace story had me thinking of Twilight when James played the video of Bella’s mother calling out Bella’s name to lure her in. The fact that he said the voice said his name and it sounded the exact same way every time makes think it was a recording ya know.

For the last story, it's pretty common to have scary images during sleep paralysis. Most of the time it's shadow people but it can vary. I have hypnopompic hallucinations (illusions that occur from sleep to wakefulness) which are very vivid and tend to be spooky but only last in short bursts. Of course what he experienced is scarier than anything I've seen.

The one where his mom has dementia is the one that freaked me out the most. For her to just go over and be in his house alone and knowing how dementia plays with the mind... whoever broke in/ came in could have hurt her or killed her. I'm glad his dad doesn't let her go on her own anymore but I can understand how it's sad for him and a sense of relief at the same time.

Its so good aswell to see you re read the stories and tell the difference from how you sounded when you last told the story years ago to now. The old voice gives so much nostalgia but is so cool to see your modern take on the stories with your newer voice!

Your videos helped me get through high school and nursing school. Whenever I had a tough day/week and I saw the notification that there was a new video, it helped take my mind off of what was bothering me. Now, in my senior year of nursing school, these videos help me realize that there are things more scary than select all that apply questions and care plans.

I love that these are some of the ones that freaked me out too when you shared them. Another that always springs to mind is the boy playing hide and seek with his cousins and he hid in the barn... I won't say the rest of it for those who have not heard any of Mr. Nightmares narrations on the Hide & Seek stories, but it made my skin run cold.
