How long does the compile take? What kinda compiler flags are set? I recall a talk with an MS build engineer around that time saying full windows compile took 24hrs! Really interesting though 👍🏼.
I tried to do this (on windows 7), but missed some steps and now something with my .net framework is broken. Please tell me if I'm stupid and how to fix the problem with .net 4. Thank you.
ik i shouldnt be asking for the source code but it need it to compile ntvdmx64 to natively run dos apps on windows 11 and it needs to grab vdmredir.dll from windows server 2003. the batch script compiler says it specifically requires the source code named as nt5src.7z. now i cant use ntvdmx64. 😭
@@HuzaBird0.1 It's probably a good thing ultimately because it safeguards ReactOS better from legal battles when there's less reasonable chance a maintainer could have duplicated proprietary code knowingly.
No, but speeds up things since it doesn’t have to check every single file that’s extracted. That’s also kind of why the Dev Drive was introduced, so that it would be exempted from Defender
@@tigrankhachatryan5638 probably not the person who creates the patches rather the ones who distribute it large scale. basically once it is seeded in torrents, the original creator can just stop seeding and until the patch gets even noticed/popular nobody will know where it came from. alternatively use a multi-step-release method like cracking groups do. nobody will know where it originally came from. to put it in other words, once it's leaked out it is forever available. like halflife 1 alpha leak, halflife 2 leak or the recent huge windows nt leaks
Tiny 11 isn't even supposed to be used for everyday use. Almost all drivers are missing so obviously you won't have sound, and I'm surprised the display even works.
@@filings141 Just fking format the whole drive at this point and clean install a regular Windows installation. I'm telling you that Tiny 11 CAN'T be used for everyday use. No one is going to tell you how to install drivers which is probably the easiest-to-fix issue you'll experience. Have fun with the BSODs
