In todays episode of shader showcase in Minecraft, I'm going to show you a new update of Complementary: Reimagined 5.2 Shader - now it features colored lighting, just like Rethinking Voxels, but this one has much better performance and can work on bad pcs, so this shaderpack is accessible to almost everyone! This is probably the best shaderpack available for Minecraft 1.20.6, but it also can be used on versions lower than 1.20+. So don't worry! Complementary shaders are the best minecraft shaders for a while now, do you think there's going to be something that will overthrow it? Or is it the best minecraft shader forever? Well, now that it has colored lighting, I think it's going to stay that way for a while.

What pbr RP are you using?? For some reason complementary doesn’t want to use pbr resource packs, what is the preset supposed to be on?

No RP used on the second map, and on the first map it's in the map itself I'm pretty sure I just used high profile and turned on advanced colored light

Rethinking Voxels is based of this shader. Don't use Rethinking Voxels, it's buggy and it runs like crap, this original shader runs way faster and has very few issues.

Please provide steps on how to make colored blocks light up a place. Only one color appears to me, even though I put blue lights. There is no blue light, only white.

Complementary ->shader settings -> performance Settings -> advanced colored light (or something like that)

The whole reason why people started to switch to Iris (Oculus is a reforge remake) is because Optifine is such crap, and has tons of issues with mods. I build an extensive tech modpack with Oculus/ Emeddium/Complementary: Reimagined 5.2, used that modpack for about 40 hours so far, and never had any crash, glitch or bug, and the landscape rendering is butter smooth, and the shader looks gorgeous with the right settings. Learn how to mod Minecraft noob.

Complementary ->shader settings -> performance Settings -> advanced colored light (or sth like that) The shader does NOT need to be on ultra for that.

@@woatbgyt7420 *_"Complementary must be on ULTRA"_* You're spreading nonsense, Advanced Colored Lighting needs to be turned on, only a noob like you would set it to ultra, and kill his frame rates as a result, while hardly getting any quality boost, medium setting are more than enough. One should always set individual settings, never set a global setting to "ultra", that's what noobs like you do.

Not sure where it is exactly, but there's a setting for colors and a lot of things you can change, I'm sure you can somehow decrease it there

Nah Rethinking Voxels isn't just colored lighting. It has that block light and sharp shadows that work on grass, fences and gates etc. u should try it once to understand the difference.

Rethinking Voxels still has this "path-traced" lighting, which Complementary Reimagined doesn't

@@KaiaBrodbecker ...and that's why it runs like shit. With Complementary Reimagined using high settings I'm getting 260 fps, and while using Rethinking Voxels at the exact same location I get 55-65fps.... go figure.

You're not very helpful by saying potato PC.... what you consider potato PC might be a reasonably good PC according to others.... or your PC might be from the year 2005 that runs like crap.
