Great job on the tools again mate..... The Chevy has just ticked over 250,000klm and still has the original rotors and pads all round. Gotta love the exhaust brake and the fact that 95% of the klicks we do are on the highway!!
Cruiser now 251k. I’m guessing (apart from the exhaust brakes) the rotors and pads on the Silverado are likely twice or more the size of the cruiser. That driving off the black top onto those dirt rest areas are a worry 😂. Where are you both at the moment?
@@kennymepicadventures876 just pulled in to Paraburdoo for 2 nights, waiting for our 5 night booking at Karajini to come around on 12th. We've been in the Pilbara for about 2+ weeks now and once we finish in Karajini, we'll be going back to Port Hedland, then to Karratha, before going inland again to Millstream and Chichester etc. We're stringing it out as long as possible because of the cold shitty weather south of the Tropic!!! I blew a tyre on really good quality gravel road 2 weeks ago. Looked like I'd run over a star picket by the large shape of the "wound". Tried plugging it (7 strings) but it was DOA!!!.... Have now replaced the Nitto 37s with a new set of 35s (Toyo Open Country M/T). The other four 37s still had a bit of meat on them (estimate 10,000klm worth) , but it was bloody difficult to find a replacement for the blown tyre, so I thought I'd lash-out on a new set of smaller ones now....which is what I was planning to do when the 37s wore out.
