I can't really tell you what to do but if you are still considering whether to return to Germany, do return to Germany. It's not easy to be a military wife and family, the distance takes a toll on families over time. There are some places you can't travel with him but where you can, keep your family together. You and your husband need each and the kids need you both. I know you miss family and it gets lonely being so far from the family that created you but it's important to keep the family you and your husband created together. That big of a distance literally eliminates the need for one another bc you'll get used to being a solo mom and he'll get used to being solo. Don't let that happen. Don't get used to being without each other. I'm praying for you and your family. I'm not a military wife but I was a military kid. My husband and I worked tag team shifts when the kids were younger and even though he works during the day now, our hours don't leave much time. But I could run circles around him when it came to the house, kids, errands, etc bc I was used to doing it by myself. It creates a divide in the union that if you aren't careful will sever ties before you know it. I know you may not have much of a social life in Germany, friends, etc but keep your family unit together. Keep pushing. You aren't alone. You can do this. Pray and keep your faith up. Military people can be distant as well bc they have to turn off the connection and craving to be home with family in order to mentally and emotionally survive the times they literally have to be away from family. Stay connected. Be encouraged. Be blessed. You can do it.💚

@Ryan Michelle I'm a subbie who has been watching but never commenting. I'm a USAF (Ret) military wife. We were in Guam for 4 years. At the 2 year point we visited his family then my family on our 30 day leave and I INSISTED on not going back to THAT ISLAND! My husband drove off WITH THE KIDS and left me at my mothers house for 48 hours, then came back and asked me to please return to Guam to finish out our next two years there. That happened 30 years ago! We've been married 37 years as of Oct 2023. Hang on in there! I missed out on funerals of people passing away on BOTH sides of my family during those years overseas, but "I know somehow, I know someway, you're Gonna Make It! No Matter the TEST, Whatever Comes Your Way, You're Gonna Make it! With Jesus on our side, things will work out right!
