I'm still here haha. Die Hard is a Christmas movie, full stop. Let me describe a Christmas movie for you. John McClane, who is estranged from his wife Holly and kids, comes to visit for Christmas. When talking to her kids about if Daddy is coming home for Christmas Holly says, "we'll see what mommy and Santa can do". Through the movie, which takes place on Christmas Eve at a company Christmas party, Christmas music abounds. One of the most heart felt lines in the movie is when John says, "she heard me say I love you a thousand times, but she never heard me say I'm sorry." John and Holly rekindle their love, work through their issues, and John comes home at the end of the movie. Now tell me that's not a movie about the love and hope of the Christmas season. Yes, thieves take over the building and a butt ton of people get shot, and blown up, and thrown off of the skyscraper to splat on the ground. But where are the rules that say you can't headshot a dude trying to kidnap your wife in a Christmas movie?!
Die Hard, Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, National Lampoon Christmas, and Jingle All the Way are the Greatest Christmas Movies all time. Honorable Mentions, Miracle of 34th St and Christmas Story.
One of my most looked forward to videos every year! Loved this, Aaron and got a lot of ideas for friends and family! Loved your plug for reading John! Also, spiked drink Aaron makes some pretty funny content and I welcome it! Haha Blessings to you and yours!
Thanks so much for covering such an array of items! Have loved your channel for years - I'll never forget the first one I saw - the Ka-bar BK-7...still a classic. ✌️
That's so funny, I have been re-watching Band of Brothers every year at Easter since 2006. Such a fantastic show and excellent choice as a gift for a war/history fan! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Another great video man! I am a fixed, blade, knife guy, and the honorable mention of the T5 was spot on. Definitely one of my go to knives. Appreciate your hard work man. What an awesome job you have.
@@gideonstactical😊 what is the name brand of the brown knit ski hat you're wearing in the video? Looks good. I need a new one like that. Im tired of the cheapies that dont keep warm
The reason that the Silky saws break is two fold 1/ the original saws were for the home gardner and thinly made. 2/ users were pushing the blades expecting them to cut whereas the blade is a cut on the pull blade. Buy one of the newer heavy duty saws and the problem is solved. I love using my Silky saw and can highly recommend the nata machete ( an awesome tool ).
I have a Casio speed memory 100 (digital/analog, casio AW-20) that's from 1988 and it works amazingly to this day. Was my uncles and it was given to me a few years ago when he passed.
Always love watching your gift lists. Thank you for sharing. There are a couple of items from your list that I plan on buying. I'm so glad you like your Lionsteel fixed blades. I have 4 Lionsteel knives and love each one of them. I also have the Hardside Hydration and Grayl per your past recommendations. As for the camp chair, I have a less expensive OneTigris Chair. So far it has been great.
I like that you talked about the book of John and Jesus and your faith I have getting close to him it i wonderful Ihave always believed I just I wished I would have wanted till I have stage4 lung cancer to get to close to him. Thank you for all the work you do
What, I'm surprised that the Joker 6.5 XL Nomad didn't make your list LOL I do love mine. Great gear talk Aaron. I look forward to these videos through out the years. Cheers!
Joker do a nessmuk style and that is my GOTO for all cooking and skinning needs . And yes I too have replaced the esse 6 with the lion steel m7 and have not looked back .
As an avid Mora fixed blade user and lover, I finally decided to try a $43 Joker knife off amazon. Maybe I'll make a "battle of the budget fixed blades" video. Enjoy the "modified" eggnog! Happy holidays GT!
Would love a very budget sensitive EDC survival gift guide.... $15 to $25 each. Harbor Freight, Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon, etc... Also budget pouches and backpacks... $15 to $25... Also first aid, etc... Books etc
SOG power pint has become my go to edc . The size and versatility makes it a winner for me . I carry a full tool loadout so a full-size multitool just isn’t practical for my needs .
Hey Aaron, I love your channel brother. Above all the great EDC items you presented, I love that you shared the gospel. It was simple, to the point, and it can easily speak to someone who is hurting or may be searching in hits/her heart for the truth. To let others that Jesus is the answer and that He loves us all irregardless of what sins we may have committed. Jesus wants us to dump all our struggles and pain at His feet, He alone can heal and give us hope. Thanks again for all the products for gifts this Christmas season, it is so helpful Greetings from Southern California, this is Alan, God Bless You!! John 14:6
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gpn_hofHQuc.htmlsi=mkD6IKMRHWruaccZ check this out. Hope this will give some context and Happy Holidays to you too.
My knuckle is still jacked up from the cut the button lock Raccoon caused me and that's been 6 months ago or more. One of the worst cuts I've ever gotten was because of that poorly designed plunge lock.
I just checked that set out. Looks awesome. And I’ll have to get it in the new year. Pricey though hopefully it’s not super heavy either. That’s nice thing about the Klein it’s light and 25 bucks altogether.
Dont know why it took me so long to subscribe, old man syndrome i guess lol. Great video, only thing is you talk so fast when sayin' different blade steels, i cant hear them, ( yeah im hard of hearing), but i never could hear when ppl talk fast. I know you have alot of info to put out, so i get it. Do you have a video explaining different blade steels? If not that would be a cool vid. Anyway, love the Channel and GOD BLESS you and yours. P.S. im a submarine veteran. We got issued knives that had a marlin spike on it. I think it was called a jackknife?? If you have one or can get one for review, it would be a awsome review. It took me FOREVER to sharpen it and from what i remember the edge didnt hold well. That could very well be that i was 18 and didnt have a clue what i was doin' lol.
Love my Helinox Ground Chair! Pair that with the Helinox Speed Stool for the perfect-height, folding foot-rest (that also can double as an extra seat for a camping partner!). They’re a match made in heaven! Recommended!
Digging the relaxed vid format with the egg nog I’ll take you up on the friendly die hard being a Christmas movie or not. The setting sure is Christmas time but this is a summer action movie released in July. Reminds me of Gremlins, a summer comedy horror flick released in June with a Christmas time setting. Both are not Christmas centered or focused. Neither on Christ nor on the commercial aspect. Don’t get me wrong , I enjoy both but a time setting does not change the theme of the film or genre as listed on IMDB. I do the same thing with LOTR too by the way.
Thanks for the great video Aaron. Buying the LAPG tradesman pants now. But which is the fixed blade you had on those pants? EDIT: Die Hard is the best christmas movie.
Thanks Aaron. I *have* wondered about Tommy, but was kinda scared to ask. I'm really glad to hear he's okay. The Sharpal is my preference and recommendation. The 127N (the one with the plastic handle) has become my go-to, as the handle just makes it easier and safer to use than the Worksharp Field Sharpener, in general, and especially so with bigger blades. Add to that, it's so compact that I can literally slip it into my pocket, so it works anytime, anyplace, anywhere.
I've used the uber fire steel for a couple years now (and I'm busy...and sometimes lazy as well) so wick/bellow is awesome. Well worth the money. Now maybe I'm getting my channels mixed up, but re: the PocketRocket 2, didn't you say the Soto was your favorite in a previous video?
@@gideonstactical Gotcha. Not surprising, I listen/watch to way to many channels while working. I haven't used it yet, but Soto's 4 pot holders vs. the usual 3 make me feel better if the kid decides to boil water herself LOL.
Ive used the grail on a few group backpacking trips and EVERYONE uses it if i leave it out and let them because its so quick and convenient it makes thier water filters seem barbaric!
That Yukon Cornelius hoodie is awesome, dude! Lol My nickname at work is Yukon Cornelius, haha He has always been one of my favorite Christmas characters! Getting me that hoodie for show man!
Dude, you are Yukon Cornelius... I never realized the uncanny resemblance. But I had to do a double take when I first turned on the video because I thought you were wearing a shirt with your own picture on it😅
powerpoint makes no sense to me. you gain power because of the gears, but then lose that power because you have to open the handle twice a far to get the pliers to spread the same as any other multitools.
Work (and Torque) = force x distance. So with any lever the tradeoff is force for distance, or vice versa. So if you have to supply more distance, you get more force.
