+C&C Equipment: Another well-scripted/informative/extremely interesting video of the work/effort/time/pieces-parts required to repair/restore the J Deere 700J tractor/bulldozer that had/has been sorely _mishandled/mistreated_ by a number of nefarious _'loggers'_ . It would seem that these _'logger-types'_ have a good deal to learn re: proper handling of their equipment so as to avoid the *_often-severe/costly damage_* they cause in the day-to-day _use/abuse_ inflicted on these machines. In any event, *_'well done'_* to the guys of C&C Equipment for their work & presentation! Both of these are given/get the usual YT 'thumbs-up', as requested. I remember repairing/replacing broken rollers and links in the field back in the 70's and it was a tough & time consuming job (always needed something you didn't have). You guys make it look easy, however, like you said "hard to quote it, cause you never know what your getting into". Such fun to watch! Thanks

Nice job, the 700 J looks to be a decent sized machine. Always nice to see you never stop doing quality work even down to removing broken taps from trying to clean bolt holes out. That was an excellent idea welding segments together on the drive end, never have seen that done before, but it makes sense to do it that way. I think that would help transfer stress loads a little more evenly across the drive hub. Thanks for the ride along sir.

I like your idea of welding of the sprocket segments together , never thought of this , DUH . When I was doing this , it was sprocket rings ,very few segments unless like you I had use ITR stuff and not Berco . Nice to see a young guy that knows his stuff !!

Any young kid that wanted to learn a whole lot about diesel and heavy equipment ought to be asking you for an internship. They could learn a hell of a lot working for you folks.

This stuff brings back memories for me, I had my own construction business, started it early 70. Did all my repairs , maintenance, and welding stuff.

Reminds me of my Army days changing tracks and track pads on our 548’s and M109A3’s hard work.

Even though it's tough work, doing undercarriage overhauls is a rewarding job, as long as it isn't all you do.

Cliff, you seem to have such a great relationship with your worker and watching you and Kevin working and having fun at the same time is great to watch. Watching all the labor and skill involved with the equipment you work on shows how much you really do. Thanks for the video and will watch all you put out.

It's a joy watching you and your crew restoring that ridiculously abused machine. I'll never understand why someone would pay what that Dozer cost then not even try to do basic maintenance on it. A little bit of time and materials and that machine should have been good to go much longer than the few years they owned it. A prime example of a Logger who takes good care of his equipment is Logger Wade. As excavator operators that's Dirt Perfect Mike and Letsdig18 Chris. It's why yours and there sub number is so high. It's a joy watching you posts.

I think you are doing the right thing and showing everybody including me how you work on the dozers and everything else in the shop that is what you do and it's very not only entertainment it is educational for a lot of people. Keep doing what to do best

When you were backing that 700 out of the shop you had the camera mounted to see underneath and it looked like the underside of the dozer was missing a chunk of belly pan in the back

I'll bet you spend alot of time at your bank. Your monthly parts and expenditures has to be mind bending. Good job and very nice shop.

Welding a bead around the inside of the bearing race will shrink it, and the race will slide out almost on it's own.

Most every kid likely remembers being in school watching some teacher lecture and saying to themselves, "I'll never use that in the real world" but the teachers often have the last laugh. I remember in science class 7th or 8th grade our teacher was able to pass a metal ball though a metal ring that was too small to let it pass. He then heated the ring in the Bunsen burner and cooled the ball and then the ball passed right through the ring with no problems. Very interesting and got our attention. Here our real heroes are doing something similar in the real world. 👍

In Vietnam we operated heavy equipment in the Us Navy Seabees but we’re ingeminated to reap air them so we blew them up to het new ones. Watching your videos we had the talent to repair but no part or facilities to work on them like your shop. Embarrassed now how we acted. Great to’ see you fix military equipment that still 86 equipment it feels not repairable. E👍🇺🇸

Person gets so much information how these machines work how they are built and repaired compared to other channels that actually use them. Hard to comprehend steel on steel and the wear and tear.

Oh and before I forget awsome job with welding those sprockets into pretty much a solid SPROCKET it would be cool too make a jig out of some one inch plate drilled and sized like the final drive and you could do a a nice solid weld completely then just a little finish grinding were the flange surface meets up on the final drive then you would have a even better finished product. Great content as always
