Part 3 - Building a 10x7ft Sauna completely from Salvaged Material and Hand Milled Lumber. Discarded Insulted Metal Panels used throughout building, crating/ shipping panels used as sheeting on exterior, Fence boards for siding, VB left over from Metal Roofing Project, Wood all Salvaged or Milled by our HM122 Woodland Sawmill. Handmade door using milled lumber, Handles... made from Derrick's Walking Stick Haha.
Please note, all "Sauna Building Rules" were thrown out the window here. We were simply using what we had around the property and having fun doing it! Cheers!

Thanks for the view! However please keep critiquing comments to yourself. A) Yes it’s spelt Kaamos B) We get it hotter than 30, this was the first time running it C) This specific stove can’t handle anymore rocks on top. Etc. Etc. Etc. This was clearly built on a budget and we’re not professionals. However, encouraging loving comments are greatly appreciated, positive feedback. Just tired of the snooty, demeaning comments. No place for that here. ❤️

Very cool, I guess you know this by now but bigger stove, more rocks and make sure you pour lots of water on the rocks not just the stove.

Do you need ventilation for clean combustion?

Well done. Are you still using it? I'm considering building a similar sauna. Does that stove produce enough heat to break a good long sweat? I have a similar camp stove and I'd love to build a sauna around it. Would you be willing to dialogue about/critique my build idea? Thanks. Sandy

Hey Sandy! We use it every weekend and we love it. The camp stove is limited obviously, we’ve been able to max it out at 50 Degrees C. We usually relax and enjoy a few beers in there so that’s plenty hot enough for us at this point. BUT it’s an easy switch if we decide to spend the money in the future to buy a bigger stove.

What kind of rocks did you use for the sauna top ?
@simplelivingwiththetomchak3256
If you want to do it the “correct” way you can purchase sauna rocks. We didn’t and instead used what was literally lying around, and now we don’t do rocks. Our stove clearly isn’t a typical sauna stove lol, we just make due with what we have and it’s served it’s purpose :)

Thanks for the reply... What does “now we don’t do rocks” mean .
@simplelivingwiththetomchak3256
@@bruceshearer1719 we don’t have rocks on top of the wood stove anymore.
@bruceshearer1719
@bruceshearer1719 Год назад
...then how do you create the steam ?
@simplelivingwiththetomchak3256
@@bruceshearer1719 Just spritz the stove
