In my opinion you are too hard on yourself, I am a visual artist and I think you are one of the best colorists on RU-vid. You finished pages look like oil or acrylic painting.
Dr.K don't be so hard on yourself. Your coloring is absolutely fabulous. Sometimes we have bad days but your coloring is not affected at all. Have a nice day. I really enjoy your channel.
Listen to me lady, everyone of your pages are absolutely stunning and beautiful. Please don't put yourself down. I find colouring quite difficult due to my brain damage and I can only dream of being able to colour as good as you. I love both your pages in Afrika. The lion was fun to watch. The crocodile page is awesome too. The first thing I noticed was the background and I think it's really cool. It reminds me of when someone puts paint on a canvas and sprays water on it to let it drip down. I think it looks really effective. Non of your colourings are ever bad or not good. K you are one of the best colourists I've ever seen, please remember that 🙏 ❤ I managed to colour 30 pages in October, that's a record for me. But quite a lot of them were mandalas with markers so they didn't take very long. Xxx

Believe in yourself, K. Just over eleven thousand one hundred people do! Every colourist whether they are beginners or advanced has their moments. Your colouring is so beautiful and you are way too hard on yourself. I love your work. I look forward to seeing your pages. You inspire so many people to try new things with colouring. Let me echo everyone else, "there is nothing wrong with these images!" You just seem to have a really jaundiced view of your output this month. I absolutely loved your blood moon, and as for your streaky background on the last PDF, it was like a stained glass effect; maybe not what you were going for, but it was your first experiment with marker paper and now you have a better understanding of it. Well done on lots of lovely work!❤❤
OMGEE K, your finished pages are STUNNING!!! I LOVE everything you did this month and I especially LOVED the moon, and really the whole page in the fairytale book, the last book you showed us, I’m so inspired to try something similar (stealing it from you with all the credit 😁) I just want you to know, your coloring pages are what got me into coloring. I was looking for something to do to help with getting out of my head, decided to color, then I saw your pages in worlds of wonder a couple of months ago and I couldn’t wait to get coloring supplies and get started. I had never seen anything like your work before that, and didn’t know coloring pages could look like you make them, and now I can’t wait for your coloring pages at the end of the month. Try not to be so hard on yourself, you’re the reason some of us have gotten into coloring. 🫶🏿🫶🏿❤️❤️

I would like to add my voice to the chorus. Your pages were all stunning, and as usual, your work is an inspiration. I love your colour sense and your use of metallics and glazes. I have only recently come into the world of adult colouring. I knew that it existed before this and have owned two Johanna Basford books for at least half a decade, but I knew nothing about these RU-vid Colourist channels. And I came across it thanks to your video about the Prismacolour pencils you bought through Temu. Since then, the amount of colouring books, pencils, etc that I own has multiplied significantly, and my Amazon wishlist has grown exponentially.🎉🎉🎉
Lovely pages!! My favorites are the Lion page, the haunted house and the moon page from the cute Japanese bunny book. I know how it feels when you’re just not feeling anything you’ve done. It’s tough for sure!! Hope you get out of the slump soon ❤️ Take care!!
Like everyone else I loved all your pages. You have a real knack for putting colouring together. Try to be kinder to yourself. I always look forward to all your videos. For backgrounds and coloring in general I color in circles. It really helps with avoiding the up and down lines. I also color over the little bits and color over top after. it saves a lot of time. I'm in abit of a slump myself, so I have been sticking to mandalas vs anything complicated.

Agree with everyone else: these are fabulous. It sounds like you are in a slight colouring slump and consequently looking at everything with a super-critical eye. But honestly, I think they are all up to your usual standard. I absolutely loved the way you did that moon, even though you didn't. I think it looks amazing.

They’re all lovely to look at, and so interesting and encouraging to hear your thoughts ❤ It seemed to me that you were happier with the ones with more dramatic contrast, and less happy when the color values were closer - at least that’s how it looked from my tiny screen on the other side of the world … Sending admiration and support ❤

You are so hard on yourself when you critique your colorings. Maybe I don’t have the eye you do, but I thought they were beautiful. As you said not every page is going to be a winner. But in my opinion I think so. You still have the masters touch. Thanks for sharing.👍👍💞💞😊😊👏🏽👏🏽

First off, who cares how many views you get? Do what you love, and it will always be a good time. And secondly, I actually gasped out loud when I saw that picture with that gorgeous fall color moon! The one you didn’t like so much? I thought that was your best picture of the month! That moon is incredible and I would love to be able to re-create that! It was so gorgeously blended and unusually colored. It was the star of the show of that page for me. That and those beautifully colored pumpkins! I loved that page to pieces. So yeah, you’re too hard on yourself. Perhaps it’s not a coloring slump you’re having, but some thing else making you overly self critical and unable to see how beautiful your work is this month?

You pages are gorgeous K we are out own worst critics and there are pages we are just not feeling I can understand that from your perspective but I think your pages are gorgeous I love seeing them coz you colour in books I wouldn't really colour in and I love seeing your style and you bring the pages to life I love the lion page and the crocodiles in the Rita berman book I would never want to colour those pages but I love how you have done them hope that makes sense lol always love you pages my favorite is the klarna markova bath so pretty and shiny would love a tutorial on that if you would want to do it of course 💜💜💜💜💜💜

Hi. Well I think your pages are awesome. You should not be so critical of yourself, you have a great talent. Can I ask about acrylic paints? What are they? How do you use them? Are cheap ones any good? As you can see, I know nothing about them and I am scared to try. Thank you for all you do. Hugs.
Thank you! Acrylic paints are generally thicker consistency than watercolour and I think they are water-based. The cheaper ones may be less pigmented but some brands are really nice and you can get a large range of colours. I use them less than watercolours as I am not very experienced with them either. Use them with a flat acrylic brush so you get less streaks, possibly for backgrounds. Just experiment and try them out!
Oh K, what on earth are you thinking my friend, I think you might need to go to spec savers, as these pages are stunning, 😍nothing wrong with them at all. I love the neo background on your Croc Rita page, I think it really enhances the colour scheme you've created. Such a lovely cute Klara page, I really love your moon in the fairy tales, book, I think it looks great, and totally suits the page. I really like this page. This months pages are beautiful, and I'm so sorry you feel like this about them. I do understand how sometimes a page isn't what you imagine, but honestly your work is always beautiful and I truly don't know where you are looking. I loved seeing all these page, 💗❤ ( I think marker paper can be tricky, and different brands are very different, I actually like the Neenah Card for my markers) xx

I don’t know, I think I was just feeling quite negative about my colouring last month, though I am feeling a bit better about it this month. I really like the Halloween picture with the pumpkins, ghosts and moon. The moon looks like a Harvest moon. I know you did not care for it, but I really enjoy that one. I like all of your pages.😊

Coming to this late so not sure you will see this comment but the way your alcohol markers blended on that page makes me guess the image may have printed on the back of the marker page. Especially for thin marker paper, often only the front may be coated. I usually pencil an "x" on the front before tearing it out so I can be sure it prints on the right side. Love your work! Haunted house page was my favorite!

K, you are much too hard on yourself, they are beautiful. Just have fun with the process, don't be down on yourself. Your level of expertise is so much higher than mine but that's not what it's about. For me it's for fun, expressionism until my body won't let me do it anymore. I know you're on this platform and might think people expect more but we (I hope I speak for we) just want to see you have fun. Wow! That's stunning! I've never seen anything like it! I do pencil portraits, never used colored pencils, nor do I paint, but I'd love to know what you use to draw with. Are those watercolor pencils? with opalescent pencils? Do they make such things? I have never thought to look. You might say in the video, but I can't play it out loud, I'm at work. I'm going to have to play this on the way home. I am seriously impressed!

Gm. K I just saw ur video of 2023. Great coloring! I have a Japanese coloring book and it's a coloring book of horror , I don't recall the artist name. What do you suggest what color pencils should I color the pages. Any advice I would appreciate.
