What no one could have done is listen to all that absolute BS spewed, by trump, and then in one minute completely fact check each point. It's easy to rapid fire spew garbage, and dishonestly. 1: CNN betrayed any sense of neutrality with their recent hires\fires and policy changes. 2: the US media is profit driven. Closer races are more interesting = more viewers - higher advertising fees. Even if you have to lie and manipulate them into being close races to increase profits. All networks are guilty of the 2nd one. But it was Conservatism that insisted the profit motive find its way into newsrooms. As they insist it finds its way into every aspect of life. Brilliant long term strategy though if your goal is to undermine faith in the news by pointing to its relationship with advertisers and Wall Street. Especially knowing your marks are too short-sighted to remember who sabotaged the thing they now see failing to perform. Newsrooms. Damned near every government agency not housed at the Pentagon. The few that are in the Pentagon but serve actual service members as opposed to the warmongers who supply them, like The VA. All actively sabotaged by a Conservative movement that is willing to harm its neighbors with funding shenanigans in order to give its bankrupt ideology the appearance of truth. It's so obvious and yet the people who see conspiracies behind every scientific advancement of the last 2000 years don't see it. So busy connecting imaginary dots they never notice the real ones suspended right in front of their face.

Joe has a record of being a straight shooter but he did get that one fact wrong about no one dying abroad under his watch. Meanwhile, Trump was lying almost every time he got to talk. In a normal debate, the moderators would have called him out for those lies (and people knew they were lies the second he said them), but the rules of the debates didn't allow them to do that.
