Love your stuff man. I just did this to a 11 focus I bought. Detailed it for a fresh clean. Did the nicer steering wheel cover, mats, floor lights, dashcam, phone mount. I also changed out all the interior and some of the exterior lights to LEDs. Prob cost me $300. It’s amazing how many compliments I get from my Uber passengers.
Good job bro However number 1 mod boys is always keeping your interior clean and occ.give it a steam clean. After that use dash cleaner and get that shine up. A change to an almost new oem look alike radio also helps. Women love the bluetooth playlist thing Try buying a leather wrap plain steering wheel cover. Yes it does transform the car. Invest in proper anti bacterial spray and douse the carpet....something like lysol or glen 20 or dettol. Double carpet if possible. Slight tint also to the windows. Also keep your windows and screens clean always.
Honestly sometimes I come across some decent quality mats or like steering wheel covers at a ross. Could try there for a better budget option. Dope vid as usual bro!
The interior strips is a definite no from me. The carbon isn’t to bad but I feel like that would work better on a much simpler dash trim. Like an older car. I do like the neon light. Floor mats are always a plus that’s for sure. Never tried the vanilla car freshener. As always I do lie these vids and hope you continue to do more man.
My favorite interior mod is the foot-well lights, I wanna do that to my car. The mod I 'liked' the least was the interior accent strip, I wouldn't do that to my car...but I would do that to my brother's car!
I have an 8th Gen Civic too what I did for ~$100 in my interior is I spent $50 on premium seat covers, rubber floor mats came w my car, steering wheel cover for $10, new car smell for $2, and a dash cam for $37 when it was on a Black Friday sale (normally $80). Minimal mods but the car looks clean and modern for being a 2009 (outside still needs work)
Oh and if you don’t want to install an aftermarket touch screen on your radio, get a phone holder that sticks to your dash for $25 and premium aux cord that connects to iPhones for $22 (I like the ones that come w a 1 year warranty just in case, avoid the Target brand) at Bestbuy and the sound will be great and you’ll have easy access to navigation and music instead of paying $300-400 for an aftermarket touch screen. I also bought an AirTag for $25 that I hid in my car so I can track it at all times in case it gets stolen or I forget where I parked
@@Ascorbicon I have an 8th gen as well and imo the aftermarket touch screen is pretty useful especially for road-trips because fortunately for this car the aftermarket screen is like 10 inches that you can use for Apple CarPlay. I bought one from Amazon like a year ago and it included a backup camera which is a plus. I spent a little over 270 bucks with installation included

I think that it turned out pretty sweet, I liked the interior accent, it was a nice touch, the floor mats were acceptable, the steering wheel cover was okay, the carbon fiber wrap was good, the interior lighting was very nice, overall it was pretty good. Nice video.
For $100 it's definitely personalized and a little better than stock. I wouldn't say completely transformed. Instead of a steering wheel cover, I would have wrapped more plastic and flocked the dash. A HUGE interior upgrade for any car is to add a large touchscreen head unit from Pioneer or a similar brand. They do everything modern vehicles do. $200-$2000 8"-11"
Exactly! I got myself a 10.1 inches head unit with CarPlay and backup camera from Amazon a year ago and the total including installation was a bit over $270. Havent had any issues at all. Definitely recommend 100%
I got a touchscreen BOSS Radio head unit from Crutchfield with Apple CarPlay and backup camera to replace my outdated nav unit with maps from 2008. Ran into a couple minor issues with wiring but Crutchfield offers support with installation over the phone and online and was able to help me resolve the issues. The screen is about the same size as the old radio but so much nicer and I was able to retain my steering wheels controls :)

The foot well lights is my top pick. I wouldn't recommend the interior trim accent though. BTW I'm not sure if you're supposed to double stack the floor matts.
You mentioned the fitment in the steering wheel cover being poor. The standard wheel cover is 14.5 to 15.5 and older civics have 13 inch wheels. I would suggest finding a smaller wheel cover and that would look and feel better. As for the other stuff, imo universal floormats look cheap, cleaning up the factory ones would look much better if exact fit ones are out of budget. The lights look good but using the only cigarette lighter is unacceptable, it needs to hard wired. The accent trims can look good but Def not that color and not on the steering wheel. Carbon fiber wrap looks good but a little odd if that's the only thing carbon fiber. Just seems out of place. Tree scent takes away from the looks if anything. It just needs to smell good. I don't need to see what's making it.
I used red interior trim strips in my dodge charger very sparingly and I’ve gotten a ton of comments from people who thought it came like that. Just have to hide the cuts well and not over do it
i work a car dealership and drive alot of cars and honestly when i get in someones car i am most excited when it is clean and smells nice, the rest i can do without. with the exception of foot well lights depending on how clean it is installed
Ive got some of the trim stuff in my Chrysler 300 in my car it actually looks like it belongs there its been in it so long I forgot that it wasn't stock
I wouldn't do the carbon fiber..or the blue accent strips I don't think..I like the lights on the floor those are cool. I got a cupholder to put in the center floorboard of my 05 Buick due to the cars original cupholders being too flimsy and cheap I thought I was successful in putting in one screw apparently I wasn't
@@SmplBuilds honestly, the floor mats and lights are good, but steering wheel cover isn’t good… For the air freshener it’s always good but doesn’t improve interior just the odour, interior accent isn’t too bad… In my car I have just the interior lights, that’s already a good thing.
Most of that stuff I would never use on my car. Not a fan of the led lights or the accent trim piece. Little trees are always a waste. I would rather spend an extra $25 for a leather steering wheel wrap as opposed to just a cover. I would also never get black floor mats if I have a completely gray interior. It just doesn't look that good to me. I would much rather see some upgrades done such as installing a new head unit, leather seat covers, etc. You will probably have to raise the budget a little bit though.
@@carhoarder602 A valid concern, but the mat is held on by some pretty weak valcro, and the force of the airbag deploying would have no issue pushing it away.
The trim stuff looks awful, steering wheel cover is less awful, footwell lighting is fine but would be cooler on a switch or tapped into something else so you're not using the plug.
Carbon fiber interior decals are terrible. I wish they were gloss black to at least modernize the interior instead of making it look cheap like with the carbon fiber.
