Yep, nettles soup is delicious and a must during the spring season, because of the "iron" content. 😊 Sometimes I would dry young nettle leaves on newspaper sheets for storage in glass jars for the winter. Take care dear family, good luck with the floors! Don't forget to rest enough, its not easy to manage with so much work and two little kids at the same time! X

You know, the one you said was horsehair 😂 it is actually industrial hemp, which is very water resistant .Ship ropes are made from it .Actually it is better to use it and it is also quite cheap .👍

When you are using a concrete mixer like this one, you should put a hose with a slightly running water directly inside the mixer at the edge from the top. Then you can put the cement directly from the bag if you cut the top of the cement bag. This is much more easier and you can control both the income of water and the cement. Your garden is so lovely, made even lovelier by the sound of the Golden Orioles and Nightingales. We had to concrete our floors but we laid plastic damp prevention under as there was no damp proof course being earth floors. It's great when a plan comes together, looking forward to the end result.

BTW use the nettles for everything. Naturally they're an organic fertitliser, pest repellant and disease preventer. Hence why they grow so well evrywhere i guess.

The floor may crack in time as you didn’t put any steel mesh in and there was no membrane so damp may rise up. Happy to guide you a bit before next job as am a surveyor from uk but retired. We’re doing the same thing as you into our third year. Rgds

Andy, when I used to work on London's building sites they would often warn us that kneeling or anyway else skin being exposed to concrete for a long time might cause severe skin damage. I won't tell you what example they gave us because it's frightening but really it's a good idea to not kneel in concrete.

I have seen whether you have put a reinforcement iron net in the concrete flooring. It is cheap but will make the floor more robust, stable and it will prevent it from getting cracked. Best regards, Preslav

It`s my first time learning the word for nettle. My grandmother used to cook me soup from it roughly 30 something years ago in her village house as well. Obviously from the yard, well actually slightly outside of it, next to he river in front of it :P. I am not sure about the exact ingredients. Possibly maybe those short noodles that are used in a lot of Bulgarian soups ~and maybe rice... I might be imagining the rice... Also it wasn`t cream soup like the one you had... Just the plant leaves, short noodles, maybe some rice and salt and maybe spices maybe not. I remember it yummy either way. Also the snake according to me was of the Colubrid family.

Great work on the kitchen floor! I'd suggest getting some of those tiny microphones as the audio volume is quite uneven from scene to scene. Your voices are either too loud or too quiet after each transition.
