Cannot wait to see this. I have every single doll before the reboot. Yes, really. It was clearly an expensive obsession for a while but it helped me through some really hard emotional times. The Ghouls have their own room now hahahaha. It’s all ikea shelves and a lot are on display but honestly you’d need three rooms to get them all out! This documentary was so informative! I had no idea that the doll community was this big! This channel, along with many others, have really revived my love for Monster High and many other doll lines. I was around maybe ten when I started getting told by my family that I was too old for dolls and stuff, but I still love fashion dolls. I’m sixteen now, and I want to start actually collecting again. My siblings may make fun of me for it, but I’m still in love with fashion dolls, so who cares what they think? I can’t thank you enough for all of your videos that have kickstarted my love for this franchise again.

I admit, your channel did actually help me learn about Monster High. I never got into it as a kid because as a lifelong horror fan I thought it would be sanitized and boring (ironically what the reboots ended up being), but now I realize how cool the story and characters really are! I regret it so much now, I absolutely could’ve used a series about it be different and freaky growing up queer and ND. Coincidentally, this was uploaded the same day I started my collection! The used Picnic Casket set I ordered for my birthday just came in as my very first MH dolls! I’m so sorry about everything you’ve had to endure, I wish the internet wasn’t such a toxic cesspool of people who think it’s cool to lack basic human decency. I totally understand straying from a brand when it seems like it may just be a watered down form of your interest and I'm happy to hear my channel could expose you to all that Monster High has to offer! I also lost my father last year and it was also one of the hardest things to go through, I'm sorry for your loss, I also just have my mom left and I understand, I'm new to your channel and I didn't know the doll community was so amazing I had to sell all my dolls a few yrs back when I got laid off work, it was the only way at the moment to pay of bills and be able to eat, I was able to keep some in box so those are precious to me as well, I'm glad I found your channel and thank you for being real, honest, you have a beautiful soul
I find it bizarre that strangers on the internet would demand that anybody send them things for free because they look like they have a lot of money. Me and my family have always been on the poorer side but I would never say something so greedy and thoughtless. You worked hard for your money and can spend it however you want. I love watching you collecting the dolls because I can live vicariously though you instead 😂 I only have one RH doll, Daphne Minton, and I love her. EDIT: Just reached the part about your family and I'm so proud of how strong you are. I can't believe there are still people out there that assume people with any level of fame or money can never have any problems. That's ridiculous. Your parents seem absolutely wonderful and they did such a good job in raising you ❤ I can only hope that you continue to find ways to be happy in this world.
I deeply regret getting rid of my in box dolls years ago but it’s reassuring that you’ve also sold some of your ghouls and you have similar feelings haha, love your channel sooo much and I’m clinging onto my two IB Power Ghouls Frankie and Toralei, will never sell !!
I feel this video tbh, although I can't collect all the monster high dolls of the past, I am trying to collect the haunt couture (all i need is clawdeen now) and some of the older dolls I can find! The damaged dolls I'be been trying to collect for doll repaints❤

Well speaking of it you actually got me into collecting monster high dolls this year. I have always been a fan of the brand since I was two that is what age I was when monster high came out and started watching the episodes on RU-vid and Nickelodeon.
I admire your dedication to get ALL the super expensive MH dolls cus GIRL, I can barely stomach buying one for $200 (which is actually pushing my limit), the only ones I’m willing to spend at the very least $300-$400 for is the original collector Draculaura and the SDCC Scarah

I'm a 22 yo french girl who also discovered monster high at 10-11 yo and started collecting them. I even owned a youtube channel at this time which I managed until 2015 but then I started being ashamed and scared people would find these videos and just closed the channel.. I do regret that today. I lost every memories of this period, every video, every unboxing, stop motion, playing stuff and other things.. And I do remember watching your channel a lot at this time too !! I started collecting monster high dolls again 1 year ago when I discovered my old dolls in a box hidden in my house! And for your mom, I totally feel your anxiousness of always being scared of what could happen. I lost my dad in 2016 and my mom is sick too, we don't know what could happen, because of her sickness she is aging faster than normal. Seeing you being so confident, so tough, so brave, so brightful gives me so much hopes and courage. Thank you for doing what yo do since all these years
I love your videos, and how that you're informative and honest. I was ordering some monster high dolls from Amazon a while back. Two of them got their faces squashed when they arrived due to packaging issues. If a doll face gets squashed, get some boiling hot water and put the water in a glass jar. Make sure the water stays hot. Take the doll with the squashed face(take the head off if you can do it without damaging the doll) and submerge the head under the hot water. The hot water causes the plastic to soften so that the head can bounce back to it's original shape. Leave the head in the water for 3-5 minutes, then check if the head regained its original shape. Use a long stick like chopsticks to retrieve the head if the head was taken off from the body. If the head is still squashed, submerge it in the water again for another 3-5 minutes until it regains it's original shape. Then get a towel, empty the head of water and dry the hair. Let the doll sit until completely dry.
Can I just say how much this documentary is making me A.) itching to get a new doll, B.) so excited for the 2023 releases coming, and C.) just in my feels about how I even got started rekindling my love for dolls as part of healing my inner child lol. I don’t have any MH from when I was a child, but lately my approach has been buying gently used ones of ebay and trying to breathe new life into them and idk, I think the thing I love most about the doll community is that it’s not just purists who only see value in collecting mint NIB things, but like, just a wide spectrum of people finding joy in these things and people hyping each other up like this. I love seeing your journey like this, clawdeena 💕 thank you for being such a force in the community and sharing what these dolls mean to you
I wish as a child I listened to my dad and keep some dolls in the box because their worth so much 😭. However I did get alot of my Dolls at flea markets and was so happy I had excellent taste in exclusive dolls.

It is all ways very wonderful and interesting to learn about all of the experiences behind the scenes of your shows and the passion that you, your friends and your family have for what they enjoy. I am sorry you went through crappy things online when you were younger, some people are so messed up. But you have a lot of important things down, we don't know what's really going on in most people's lives and supporting others instead of trying to crush them. Wow Matt. Your documentary is so Incredibly well made. I know it's part 1, but I loved that you cleverly combined pieces of your life into one story about accomplishing your Mission Impossible. This is good writing and directing. I loved how you made it personal by introducing your friends, and how you met and communicated with them. And I won’t lie, I cried at the end of the video. That was so touching and I can so relate. It reminded me of situations when I’d feel guilty about having the time of my life after receiving a phone call or having a discussion with my mom about stuff because it’s just sad and frustrating that the whole thing is helpless. I mean, you can’t do anything besides just being there, which is probably the most important thing anyway. Anyhow, I think you also wanted to show us the human side of you and I think you did just that brilliantly. I’m so happy with your content creation talent and I hope more people see the star you actually are 💕💕.

Clawdeena made me fall back in love with monster high again. I loved the series so much as kid, I would watch so many youtubers who would dress up as MH characters. I have been sporadically watching your videos for about a year now. As a teen I loved collecting and taking care of my monster high dolls. I grew up with strict and @büsivE parents that would take my dolls in addition to other horrid forms of control- and the dolls were my best coping mechanism! As someone with medically recognized cptsd and social anxiety, dolls help me to self soothe, practice focus and mindfulness, and find happiness. I’m so sorry to hear about your Mom and Dad, I hope they’re finding peace in their medical journey - and YOU TOO ❤️🩷🖤Thank you for sharing your story with us, and your journey. In my childhood-early teens I was crazy about Monster High but parents didn’t buy me all the dolls I wanted, I just have 6 dolls and I remember they were my best friends since children didn’t really want to be true friends with me and parents didn’t let me go hang out in the city. Now I returned back to Monster High and they bring such amazing memories to me I have a little dream to buy all the dolls I’ve ever dreamed to have, kind of heal my inner child) I am so happy that you have all those beautiful monsters 🫡☺️☺️☺️

I was surprised to see that all the dolls you said are holy grails I have. I started collecting in 2010 and I am mainly an OOB collector. At some point over my time collecting I decided "What the heck," I would try to get all of the G1 dolls. I am missing a lot of pieces but my G1 list itself is rather short. SDCC Frankie, Collector Cleo and Ghoulia, and the three sleep over dolls. I find it so surreal when someone like you who has such a huge wealth of connections and reach has not gotten what I some how managed to. In box is way harder and more expensive though. I keep my Comic Con ones in box but between space, cost and just wanting to play with them I am glad I take them out. I do LOVE seeing in box collections because it reminds me of going into the stores when they were on the shelves. Thank you for opening up. I am so sorry about your Dad. Mine passed away when I was in high school and I know its not easy. Your mother also seems like a really strong woman. She didnt want to worry you about being in the hospital but I can tell you would have rather known. I hope she is feeling better. I have a birthmark on my face but its on my cheek and I forget I have it for months. I remember when I was little my mother asked if I wanted it lasered but I said no. I am lucky because mine will not cause me any health issues and my heart goes out to your mother and family. Back to lighter topics, my favorite character is Abbey, but Spectra is my favorite doll. Favorite part of the video....seeing you meet up with your doll friends. I am really curious too why Mattel upped the price of the Stephen King dolls so much at the pop up. I heard somewhere that because Mattel is a publicly owned company they are more concerned with telling their investors that their collector dolls sold out in three minutes then making them more widely available. Like how hard would it be to rerelease another set of them the following year? I missed out on the Greta and Beetlejuice set because I was hoping they would pop up on other sites like the King dolls. Big mistake. Anywho, sorry this was so long and thank you for the consistently fangtastic content.
