That oil cooler location isn't going to get much if any airflow at all across the fins. You really should place it facing the front like the stock intercooler so it get fresh air from the bumper scoops. Love this car and your channel.

The rad got damaged (probably) from the ac line bolt that pokes out. Happened once to me back in 2004. Sounded like a tanabe exhaust :)

Andrew McIntosh I'll admit these 6g's are special in the fact that something may work for some and not others. But its general with all cars that have recirc air and switch to atmospheric with a maf before the bov your losing that calculated volume for the ratio of fuel. Just be careful lol

That's completely false at least for this platform. The ECU is reading decel when you let off the throttle so you won't see any performance problems running open atmosphere.

Agent WK The air is still metered by the MAF sensor so it will run rich when the BOV opens. This can be verified with an A/F ration gauge.

I've had a 91 tt stealth for a few years now and since I'm retired I plan to put a lot of upgrades into the car and am definitely looking at replacing the intercooler. Great vid although it looks a bit daunting.

I got a good question, Ever tried to take the stock radiator out while you were doing the aftermarket intercooler system? Stock Rad's on these cars are known to overheat, Was just surprised that didn't go with koyo or something while you was doing the intercooler system. Other then that, Looks sweet.

Hi, im wanting to get one of these CX racing dual cores, and im doing a ton of research alot of videos show and look like they mount up fine and pipes are aligning just fine with a few things moved....but ive found other videos where like bolt brackets arent lined up on the piping or pipes are just wrong.. so my question is. Did you guys run into any issues to note that may need addressed that wasnt on video?

It would probably be a good idea to figure out the health of the engine before doing all these mods. 20 years and 160k miles can take its toll. Also, 5 quarts of oil? Bout half a quart too much unless that cooler is a larger capacity than the factory cooler. Plus those 98s have falshable ECUs so I hope you cover the difference in airflow with the maf changing it from the factory recirc....or else you're going to predet and say bye bye to a piston or some bearings.

There's nothing wrong with running open atmosphere for these cars. At that split second you let your foot off the throttle, the ECU is under decel anyways so you won't see any performance problems
