I’m a big Dua fan and this one has never caught my eye because I’m not familiar with the original. I don’t have a real fruity fragrance so I’ll prob be adding this soon. I typically stick with hybrids or original blends because they are more unique but Sapphire sounds like a winner! Thank you as always for the great review!! Redolessence- Hi Steven, so which of the 3 below would be your favorite? They are each unique on their own way and you stated you really liked each of them in previous reviews. Well I didn’t find a Dua expression for Lost Cherry but I know you like TF’s. Anyway, if you could only have 1 which would it be? Dua Purple Sapphire, Popped Cherry or Rosa’s Thorn. Sounds really good Steven. The DUA website says it's based on Violet Sapphire and mentions its $800! I may need to give this a try and if it works out possibly try to grab it during one of their sales. Thanks a lot for shining a light on it. - Colin

Wow. I bought this a couple of months ago and wasn’t crazy about it initially. But after letting it sit and “macerate” it smells so smooth and amazing. I cannot stop smelling myself!

I'm confused. Dua's site says this is an inspiration of Violet Sapphire, a Harrods exclusive not Amethyst. He says raspberry isn't listed but it definitely is on the site. Other than that this frag is a killer.
Kajal Dahab is absolutely extraordinary....I bought it for my lady! It's the only perfume that can literally mesmerize me....if this is anything close to Dahab I'm going to have to check it out! Thanks stephen as always

You have no idea of how much weight your videos hold. I watched this vid, went to DUA and the sales tracker at the bottom of the screen was nothing but recent purchases of Purple Sapphire. I personally counted 7. You need a percentage lol.
Bought a bottle based off this review. I was actually excited, but this stuff smells like bug/insect spray. It settles a bit, but I probably wasted $60 bucks. Maybe i got a "bad batch", which is really an excuse for unpleasant. Definitely not for me. If interest, e-mail me, and I'll let it go for the cheap, otherwise don't do it.
You have to let dua fragrances macerate for about a month at least and they will change in smell. They make their bottles when you buy them so they need to sit. If you still have the bottle smell it now!

This in the dry down is a bit similar to safari extreme by Abdul samad qurashi. I love the dry down but not the opening. It's very sharp there. Nice to have known your taste a bit more. :)
No problem dua makes some great fragrances and some better then the real thing and to me this is one of them but I believe only one person received it because the base supernova took all the shine and I will continue to watch keep up the great work
Steven, I had a similar experience getting a pizza, where someone came up and sniffed me without even talking to me or asking. Really ackward and strange. I was wearing Aqua Amara 😂😂

hello Steve, could you talk about tom ford ombre leather, I see a lot of negative feedback about longevity and projections, 1-2 hour longevity, skinscent(2019 batch code), and 8-9h. longevity by 2018 batch code. for 1 year reformulated fragrance((( can you tell your batch code?
This was my first dua ever and you swayed me. I wanted to go a different route other than what everyone recommends from the house. On my skin, it has a similarity to peanut butter. Which is very unique
If you feel its a good clone of the original, i don't see any reason to pay 600$ for 100 mL more of the stuff. Maybe you just really want the bottle? For $600. I hate encouraging houses to put out products at that price point by purchasing. Especially when it clearly can be produced at a fraction of the $600 price tag. But what you do with your hard earned $$ is up to you my friend.
Hey I had a question! I really wanna get the Mugler ultra zest and it’s $495 and I’m so close to buying it, I know it’s overpriced but I really want that. My question is, is there an alternative to ultra zest and if so can u point me in the right direction! Thank you in advance
The dry down on kryptomint is similar to ultra zest. If you're ok with trading the blood orange opening for the cool mint then that may be a cheaper and available alternative. I have over 700 fragrances in my collection and wouldn't really compare ultra zest to anything in specific. If I didn't own ultra zest I too would want it in my collection and would find it worth about $150 to me. You can find bottles for under $200 on ebay. Id also recommend something like Dolce vita from dua which would give you and orange cream type of scent...not the same as ultra zest but same idea. Likewise every time I smell Oud & Bergamot by Jo Malone ultrazest comes to mind.
