Great video. Most DIY ers are satisfied with copying someone else's plans or building a prototype. You're the first one who showed your determination to keep improving on the original build. The tire wall separator was a game changer. I wonder if your trommel might produce fewer tailings if the compost were slightly dryer. Just a thought, Not a criiticism. I'll know more when my trommell project is complete. Im looking for a DC motor. No electricity near my compost piles. I'll watch this again. Jack
Appreciate the praise. Im going to attempt to make a machine that grinds the compost and get 100% output. You are correct with dry compost. It does produce less tailings. Thanks for your time
Need to build something like this. Have a lot of material to process, rotten wood, leaves, fir needles, etc. I might put the framework inside, so it agitates. Like the idea of a brush on the outside. Maybe spring fingers on the inside, if the screen is heavy enough.
Just when I thought I had an original idea! You are 20 steps ahead of me. Nice, nice, nice. I would like to have a chute to fork the raw material into, and make the whole system at waist high level. You give me lots and lots to think on. Thanks.
Great job. Your trommel looks a lot like mine. I finished mine before I had even seen your video. Too much rain lately to run it in mission mode. Will post as soon as I do. Btw, did you see and improvement after you installed the mid-section baffle?
