People often complain that Chinese is hard. But with a teacher who explain the sentence structure like this, how hard can it be? I tried learning Spainish or Arabic on youtube and trust me, I couldn't find one who explain like this Chinese teacher.

That is a really interesting topic showing how flexible Chinese become to avoid adding extra structure. In Latin languanges (pt-br, es, .. ) we tend to make hard use of adverbs+preposition for everything so the more you use, the clearer you are. While Korean and Japanese use particles to denote importance on topic/place/object.. and it is confusing even to natives to use it correctly. Glad that Chinese handle this in such logic way

So glad I came across this. Was able to follow most of your explanations. In the last part (two verbs) you mentioned write email. Xiě diànzǐ yóujiàn. You wrote it differently. (xiě yóu jiàn) Could you explain this.
@keystochinese0921
@keystochinese0921 3 месяца назад
Good question. Dian4 zi3 means electronic. So dian4 zi3 you2 jian4 is the full term of email (literal translation: electronic mail). But on a day to day basis, people usually just use the short version you2 jian4. When you refer to a actual postal package we usually say 包裹bao1 guo3 or 快递kuai4 di4. For letters in the mail, we usually call them 信xin4 which is not common in China any more. People rarely receive actual letters nowadays. Therefore, there won’t be misunderstanding if you use you2 jian4.

1) Your super beautiful, zhen mei li. 2) STPVMO is grammatically correct BUT Chinese is TOPIC oriented not subject oriented. I've seen exactly ONE youtube video which adequately addresses topic prominence in Chinese. 3) Language drills of well-formed sentences with good style and grammar are essential to passive acquisition and internalization of foreign language grammar. 4) You're gorgeous. So much so either it bears repeating or I simply forgot. Did I mention? Super beautiful.

Hi there. That’s a good question. 送 is like an intransive verb where we need to use the form 送someone something (送我礼物). You can also use the form 送something 给someone (送礼物给我). Hope it helps. Please feel free to let me know if you have more questions:) I’m more than happy to help.

In your example using bu and all, the application is not correct. You said: "all do not study Chinese." In English you should say: "Not all of them study Chinese." or "None of them study Chinese." If you want to use a specific number of people. Then you say: "Not all five of them study Chinese." or "None of the five study Chinese."
