Agggh. I am argentinan, I am studying accounting, in spanish obviously... And I just cant grasp it. I work as an auditor, nothing special I work in an outsorcing big four, so most of my work is really basic and menial, but I work with Financial statements, and all other kind of financial reports (in english) all the time. I just understand it better in english. I feel like I REFUSE to learn it in spanish. I am trying to understand "Otro Resultado Integral" and simply gave up and decided to understand it on english, Other Comprehensive Income, instead.

So you start all this with the objective of getting the Company's equity. So you reach Net Income. But wait, there are things that "Bypass" Net Income, the other comprehensive income. Fine, I create a new statement, Statement of Comprehensive Income, and I add them in, and I get Comprehensive income. But wait, Comprehensive income only reflects the changes in this period, what equity did the company have before?. Fine, I create a new statement, changes in shareholder's equity, get Beggining Balance and add Net Income to it. But wait, there are things that are not contemplated by the Comprehensive income like Dividend payments. FINE, I get those aswell and add them to comprehensive income. And then, FINALLY... finally we reach Equity.
