It’s amazing to me that you can buy a Gibson Les Paul cheaper in Tokyo than I can in America. Thanks for the great 2 part video on Japanese Guitar stores.

Are you able to negotiate prices in these stores for used gear, or are their prices firm?

Mostly fixed prices. But I was able to negotiate a little. Plus you have automatic 10% off the tax if you are a foreigner.

If you're going to check it in, it's just considered as one of your luggage. PAL didn't charge me for checking in my guitar case. Hope this helps!

Hmm. That I don't know. The most that I came in with is 2 guitars only. I didn't get charged with that.
