We recently carried out in-depth tests to answer two questions about 9 mm cartridges. What can different "nines" do? And which one would be the best to have in your pistol for a possible armed confrontation?
For our practical tests, we focused on the most commonly used 9 mm Luger cartridges in the service and private sectors. The aim of our rather extensive range of tests was to verify in various "disciplines" the specific characteristics, behavior and differences between three types of cartridges in this caliber. Namely, the JHP (jacketed hollow point) cartridge and the, admittedly interesting, HS (homogeneous service) cartridge. The characteristics of these two were then compared with the classic FMJ (full metal jacket) cartridge. We hope what follows will be enlightening for those who may carry a firearm for self-defense, and for the defense of their loved ones, and those who use similar (or identical) cartridges as part of their service for the police force. You can look forward to more in our (hopefully interesting) video…
