In this lesson we'll take an introductory look at pneumatic compressors and compressor control. We'll explore the inner workings of single stage and multistage reciprocating piston compressors, rotary vane compressors, rotary screw compressors, and scroll compressors. Additionally, we'll examine fixed speed compressor control methods like valve throttling and variable displacement compressors and variable speed compressor control methods like start-stop compressor control and motor drives.
