Jason Dion's Udemy course & the practice exams. Professor messor RU-vid vids. Darell Gibson book and Ian Neil book(only need one book). Read only half of Ian Neil's and felt repetitive since I had the Darell Gibson book. Good Luck!!!! @@ThatGuyAlon

Finally Getting more structured studying in...I already watched the full vid series by Udemy for the CompTIA Security+ and recently bought the Boson Tests...have taken Exam A- 3 times. First two times in practice mode to study. 3rd time passed with 842. Planning on watching this vid then jump into Exam B. My deadline to take the exam is Mid April. 🤞

Going between study material and practice exams as a checkpoint of your retention is a good plan. Mix in some flash cards periodically if you have access to reinforce your knowledge. Good luck on the exam! 🍀🤞

Hi Pete, wow! If I could "love" this video, I would (lol). Thank you, thank you, thank you for offering a well articulated, well structured, engaging and concise review of the Sec + Domain concepts. I am late in finding you but am the better for it as I get ready to take my Sec + exam. I do not know why your page doesn't have over 100K followers because you gave relatively CURRENT wonderful examples per concept unlike so many other paid and free Sec + courses that did not mention (on-path, credentialed scans, etc) I feel more confident going into my exam after watching your video. 1 down 4 more to go. Continued success and your voice sounds like the late Bill Moyers, legendary TV journalist. You should do podcasting if you don't as a second career, if you're not currently doing so (wink). Great video. I'm a nit confused though, ither sites and videos I've been to to understand the birthday attacks/paradox, says that only 23 people are needed for there to be a 50% chance? Is this correct or is yours?

What is the difference between ransomware and crypto malware? They seem to be the same definition is there any defining characteristics?

Ransomware is the generic term that describes the four major types of ransomware. Crypto-ransomware is the specific variety of ransomware that involves encrypting files followed by the demand for payment. This is the variety most of us think about when we hear ransomware.
