KeLe Worked for me thanks. I put it in the wrong ram slot and didn’t start up at all and put the ram in the original slot and my pc start up like normal.
Awesome....replacing the CMOS battery did it for me. Had taken it to a repair centre and was told the motherboard needs replacement. Came across this video right on time. You're a lifesaver, moneysaver, possibly also a marriage saver :)) Kudos
@@thesirjh I ordered a new CMOS battery but I'm not convinced it will work because I litteraly tested both my PSU they both fine and I removed the ram and the CMOS battery and got the same beeps after booting it up it was 2 together and one alone 2 kinda quick and 1 longer
I don’t know how to thank u, thank u thank uu so much, i bought a lot of cables for pc and nothing happend i spend a lot money for nothing thank u so much.
What a legend. 6y old video and still saved me from a huge headache as i am using my current pc on an island with no repair shops. To repair it i need to ship it all the way home. Unplugging/replugging the battery solved it. Thank you Sir. Hope you are doing well with your life.
Just love how everyone is commending a 7 year old video and saying that f**king with CMOS battery solved their issue, and here I am, crying in silence, after getting a new CMOS battery, cleaning my RAMs multiple times and even getting a full cleaning done and my issue still persists.
@@ichaboi6643 there is a switch on the side of your battery, if nothing is blocking your hands or fingers from reaching it you should be able to push it very easy, but if there is something thats blocking your view then you'll need something to push the switcj

My computer was turning on and off rapidly. Couldn't figure it out for days. Started going through all the steps in the video. The switching of the ram slots is what finally fixed it. Thank you so much.

Jan's Mind same thing happened to me yesterday I tried a new psu and that wasn't the problem it is most likely the CPU or motherboard. I am getting a new motherboard today hopefully it is not the CPU
FOR ANYONE I didn't turn on my pic for like half a year. I shut it down, take the component off and never look back. Then im back, and curious if its still turning on. It did not. It turn on and off for like an hour. The monitor is not even showing display. All i did is take both ram off, clean it up and put it back in. I do this 3 times. The first two alongside the graphic cards. The last one where i put my focus on the ram. I take it off. Really clean it, with brush and eraser. Then i really put it on. Don't be afraid to push it, i made sure i did. And voila, its on now. I didn't really do anything with it i literally commented after i done it. Will keep you updated
What a bunch of helpful information, I really want to thank u so much, I had the same problem since a week, search everywhere but nothing helps. I applied your instructions literally and guess what, It works perfectly! 😍👏👏👏
hey!!!... dude my p.c was turns on and off after 5 second so I have applied your video tricks then and after also its not working problem so plz... give me any other solution so that I can solve my p.c problem
LIFE ~ SAVER. I had already done the cleaning, cable checks and CMOS battery fixes and nothing worked. This is the first video that suggested removing and replacing the ram. That worked for me! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. 1000 times thank you.
I had the same on and off problem. Watched this video and removed and reinstalled the ram, and it's back to working!! Thank you so much for posting this video.
Thank you.. So freaking much... Almost had a mental breakdown since my dad just bought this pc and it was really expensive.. Didn't wanna tell him it's already broken
Still works in 2024! 💖 My issue was I got the PC and it was somehow working with the ram in slots dimm4/3 with 1/2 being empty. until it stopped working. just installed the ram correctly lol.
Honestly this was very helpful. i did exactly what u say by removing the cmos battery and change the RAM slot and it works. Did this on a Lenovo Think Center M73 Thank you
Please help. I tried reslotting the ram, and then taking out the battery and putting it back in again, but still repeatedly turning off and on again. The fans are on, but my keyboard is supposed to be lit when the pc turns on but it won't. The same goes with my mouse. Any help?? do i need to clean the ram slot?
when I turn my PC on for the first time it works for sometimes and stops and tryed to turn it on for second time the PC does turned on the light in the motherboard board was On , but it does not start
My fan started making loud noise, so I cleaned my fan. Then when I tried to start the computer it just kept turning on and off again. I reinstalled the RAM, unplugged all the cables, plugged them again. No luck. I was a bit worried. No I freaked out. Then I took the CMOS battery and reinstalled it. Walah, it started working again. Thanks for the video. Saved my ass
I had the same issue and I just fixed. It you were messing around with your cpu, that could cause it too. I upgraded my ryzen 5 to a 9 and I just needed to update my bios
It doesn't affect ur pc if you have the power on all the time and even then it shouldn't do anything except reset bios settings like clocks peed and stuff
you should clean/blow out your computer every 6 to 12 months depending on where you keep it, how much foot traffic is around it and if you have pets then clean it at least once every 6 months to keep in running cool and quite
IF YOUR COMPUTERS TURN ON AND OFF ON AND OFF ITS NOT THE CMOS ITS MOSTLY THE RAM SWAP YOUR RAMS AND YOULL FIND THE RAM OR RAM SLOT TATS CAUSING THE PROBLEM
I've watched these Help videos since nearly RU-vid started and none has ever worked for me.....however I ended my 14 year streak today and it worked for me. I tried switching Ram and even buying new Ram ($170) and this worked for free lol.
Different methods works for me temporarily , first time removed power cable from HDD worked and then booted , after next shutdown same problem , changing ram slots helped on that case , after one week same problem , It's like a loop , IDk what's the real problem here, most components are new and I can't get help from third-party services, first i have to find which component causing this problem.
My computer was showing no display, then I Shaw a troubleshooting video on YT and according I disconnected power and long pressed Cpu power button then computer turned on but it freezes after using sometime, can anyone help me ? WHAT to do ? Plz, I will sub you
I legit did all of this before even watching the video😂. I switched my ram, I took out my battery and put it in again, I reapplied thermal paste to the heat sink. Then I even switched power supplies and I switched outlets because why the hell not. Nothing worked but some of it work temporarily then it shut down itself again.
My computer is up and working now no thanks to this video but I had to replace the hard drive cuz I’m 100% percent sure that it had a virus so I reinstalled windows through a flash drive and put the flash drive in the pc and then booted it up and installed windows on the new hard drive
Also u can wipe your old one of the virus but ur gonna have to have another computer or laptop for it. Ur gonna have to reformat it to get clean the hard drive with the virus or problem.
Just in case it helps anyone else, when I had this problem with my brand new computer the solution was: 1. Unplug everything from back of PC 2. Hold power button down for 30 secs 3. Plug in power and monitor to back of PC 4. Start up PC. 5. Once logged in, go to settings -> update &security -> windows update. 6. Let all the updates download and install
My PC sometimes doesn't turn on at all means CPU turns on, fans run, floppy disk comes out but no power supply to Keyboard, Mouse , Monitor turns on as it has seperate power supply but nothing comes on the display of Monitor. I really don't have any idea what to do. Another thing is when it turns on and runs perfectly fine.. When I play any game or do some browsing, it turns off automatically and same problem occurs as mentioned above. I desperately need some help as my budget is not that much to spend on PC. Budget is somewhere around INR 2000-3000.
Aditya Manjrekar same thing is happening to me let me know when you get a fix at the moment I’m gonna clean my pc for the dust as it may cause the cpu to not operate and let the pc run
@@sevassinn So my CPU had a lot of dust inside it and after cleaning it, it runs perfectly fine. Although there's one issue from which I'm still suffering and that is blue screen error so I called a technician and he checked each and every hardware component of CPU with a software and he showed me that My Hard Disk has got many scratches bcz of normal wear and tear which happens to every Hard Disk after 5-6 years. So, I would recommend you to clean each and every part of CPU, change the ram slot if you want to and start your PC in safe mode, search for memory diagnostic in search and run it,it will take 30 mins and will start again in Normal mode and will show is there any memory issues or not. If the problem still Persist, then there will be some hardware issue like Motherboard, dust in Ram slots, Hard Disk etc. & then you might've to call a technician for that. I hope it will help you and one more thing plz don't delete DMP files from your PC as many people have shown this trick in some RU-vid videos it won't do anything and your PC will become very slow after deleting those DMP file.
@@trensetter1705 There was 2 problems. First one.. there was so much dust inside the CPU which didn't let the fan to run normally and there was dust in Ram slots as well.. and the second one is my Hard Disk had got many scratches due to normal wear and tear.. After cleaning the CPU thoroughly I changed the Hard Disk and reinstalled the Windows with the help of technician.. now everything is working fine.
