The best person to teach you driving :- dad. I still remember when I started learning for the first time he started with reverse gear. And he first taught how to park the car instead of going on long drives. He told rest of the things are like a cake walk if you master these two. He's a pro. Once we went to a hilly place and asked me to drive the car in reverse on a hair pin bend . How much to turn the steering when a curve is approaching etc. All this driving school won't teach you.

Its similar to the reverse gear test in Oman except it's a double t here that became a H. RTA should also add slope driving test also for checking if a driver is capable of driving on Ghat Roads.
Yes.. that’s what I’m saying the test should be done on roads to check driver’s observation skills, awareness of safety, knowing traffic rules etc etc. This is dangerous. That’s y India has so many road kills.
How does this test ensure that the drivers are qualified to drive on actual traffic conditions where road sense,lane discipline, engine braking, mirror checks, emergency stops are a key?? In 🇬🇧&🇭🇲 there is a 45 min practical driving test where examiner asks the candidate to drive in traffic and assesses him/her for the above-mentioned points and this reflects on their road safety index

After years of driving in India, I’m yet to find a driver that’s lacking in skill. What they lack is ethics and road etiquette. These tests are pointless. Once you can do a reverse S and forward 8, along with parallel parking and slope, you’ve covered all skills you’d ever need on a road.
At First, we need to improve our road conditions and drivers should be made aware of road rules, and should impose high penality incase of violation of road rules, after that only we need to focus on licence tests.
You r right. These tests are pointless. In real life we will hundreds of ppl using phone not using indicator and not using rear view mirror. No driving Manners... Each year death rates are only increasing

Why should RTO conduct tests in the first place Exams are written in college where we studied likewise should be with licences. Driving schools should award licenses! Instead government should have stringent rules on driving schools and control them!
This is very easy task for men reverse taking and parking. In Gulf countries they keep in the same order but drums, in stead of lines Once you touch the drum, you are failed.. That is real rest. Their road test along with police traffic cop and trainer you have to drive around 3/4 kms, very tough and adventures. Enga amount kodutha license will. Come to your house.
This is it!!!!! I'm surprised, getting a driving license in the place where I live is, passing the following 1. 45 minutes road test 2. Reverse bay parking 3. Parallel parking 4. 3point and 2 point turns 5. Keeping your car in centre of lanes 6. Driving playground and school zone 30km/hr (31 is fail) 7. Signal- mirror -shoulder check (strictly before all turns, lane changes) 8. Communicating with other drivers 9. 3 way, 4 way, all way, roundabouts knowing the right of way and yield
And hey.. I’m adding this comment after I failed my road test😂😂 the examiner told me I missed shoulder checks couple times and my parallel parking was a disaster 😥
@@f1pro910 May be you are right but out side India it's part of parking test. Which means you should take reverse parking only with side and rear mirrors
RTO offices in India are extremely corrupt and have tedious, time consuming processes, too much paper work. Even one can get a loan of few lakh rupees online in a day without visiting the bank. RTO offices located at one end of the city and people have to travel long distances and spend 4 - 5 hours, multiple visits to get things done. And wait for few days for documents to arrive. RTO systems have become too outdated and need immediate revamp, upgradation, decentralisation, multiple offices in the same city. Minister Gadkariji promised to revamp outdated system in 2014 but nothing has been done even after 7 years.

@@khamisama5747 lol.. 45 minutes is standard in all foreign countries at least commonwealth countries..that time the examiner will only interested in her life😂😂 and if they see you’re incompetent(potential for creating an accident🤭), they just take you back. They don’t risk anything..that’s how hard it is to pass a driving test in other countries. I gave my test in Canada 🇨🇦 thatsy you’re confused so I’m adding this
After all this there is nothing to ensure that they know the rules of driving etc. The easiest is what is being done here. It's time the govt made it very expensive to obtain a licence.

This is not a useful test.In road different type of circumstance comes there they have to handle the vehicle. Here by d help of camera also they can park.
