Man people are really hating on him here. You guys know this channel focuses on interviewing people with problems? Matt admits that what he was doing was wrong, he admits that he’s a narcissist (which most narcissists would never do), and at the end of the day he encourages people to not go down the road he did. You people will tear anyone apart 🤦‍♂️
@MadamTickTickBoom
@MadamTickTickBoom 3 года назад
Hi. Non-narcissist sympathizer here. "Hating" is a term terribly over used. Hating (playa hating) comes from a place of deep seated envy and jealousy. And while _some_ people in the comments may be envious of this guy to _hate on him,_ my guess is most people are not. As for me, I dont see myself in this guy. I dont relate him on a personal level but my narci-radar is strong and I'm cognizant of these types. I would never defend this narc much less give him a pat on the back for doing what he's supposed to do in life which is admit his character defects. We all should be doing that. I wouldn't give a damn how "traumatic" and "extra hard" it was for him simply because he's a Cluster B traited personality. Poor baby. Besides, I'm not at all convinced his introspection is genuine lol. I mean it could be, but I aint falling for it... Plenty of narcissists learn to _"fess up"_ and admit to things as long as it will benefit them in the long run. It's part of the manipulation tactic. Gaslighting. Triangulation. Hovering. Love bombing. Virtue signaling etc etc etc... Just a tactic. Lol. Is it possible he's being sincere? Sure. It's possible. But I'm leaning towards _not probable._ This guy is in an interview on a channel that boasts of over a million subscribers lol. And this video in particular has gained 247K views. Even if it was only a fraction of that, he's still he's being seen by a lot of people lol. But I'm sure he's _reformed_ and would never dream of using THAT to his advantage to con folks lol. I'm sure it never crossed his mind lol...
@jdaily2293
@jdaily2293 3 года назад
@@MadamTickTickBoom LMFAO relax, he's an interesting character. He's got much better interviews than this and he's been blowing up on YT, so of course this channel will grab him if possible, it benefits them bringing his fans in. @MadamTickTickBoom
@MadamTickTickBoom 3 года назад
@@jdaily2293 Wait. What? When did I say I disliked this video? When did I say I disliked or hated anything or anyone? Lol. I meannnnn, ok sure, sue me.... I'm not exactly fond of narcissists. Pathological narcissism, that is. Butter-um, I love this channel. And I enjoyed this video. And I wish the guy well actually. So observing someone for what they are (narcissist and a conman by his own admission) and having an unflattering opinion about _narcs_ means what exactly? That I hate this video and I'm a narcissist? Lol. Amusing. I felt my comment was harmless. Offending you was not intentional. Be well.

@n1njatuber
@n1njatuber 4 года назад
Indeed it is. Both narcissistic and sociopathic (one who studies others in order to know how to behave, how one should feel, how to respond).. this combination and being that aware, one diagnosis (sociopath) educating the other (narcissism) according to this interview, has been helpful for him. This did and could still go in several negative directions but there is something innately positive in his characteristics that lies on top of his being to where he has flourished in the worst of situations and has done very well for himself.. and others.

He absolutely owns and is trying to resolve his ill-behaviors to find peace. Discovering the “scumbag” in all of us that creates despair and anxiety. Struggling desperately to be objective about his need to protect his ego by accepting vulnerability. Trying to overcome his selfishness to appreciate the contentment derived from helping others in legitimate enterprises. Finding the true value of listening earnestly to others. Being blunt and truthful, no longer justifying greed. Is this a glimpse of our human conditions in exaggerated form? Are we all narcissists in varying degrees?

They're not losing money because they've inflated the costs so much. It would be like if I spent 10 cents on a spoon and resold the spoon for 100,000 dollars. @Carlos Fuentes Carlos, temporarily artificially inflating nearby home prices by fraud isn't really good for anyone. Maybe it's good if you happened to sell at that time, but that means it's obviously bad if you're a buying the home, and paying the inflated price. It's bad even if own the property and don't buy/sell. The lenders got burned the worst, and I could care less about them, but Cox destroyed people's lives. Two minutes skimming on google: "Cox's victims have been forced to pay tens of thousands of dollars to lawyers to save their property from foreclosure on unpaid fraudulent loans. They have had to clean up ruined credit. "It's been so stressful, both financially and psychologically," says Bridget Brown." There are dozens of quotes like this. It appears several people were evicted based on fraudulent foreclosure proceedings. He did not make home owners richer. That's bullshit.

I learned something from this guy.He didn't know who he was until someone else told him.And he took it a step further by calling himself a scumbag (and arrogant). I've been called arrogant by a few people in my life but I couldn't see it because you're all in your own head. I don't con but have a quick,quirky and odd sense of humor and by at least one person in every crowd laughing at me I was validated in my behavior. Laughing's good---right? I didn't realize that at work people are intellectually incapable of appreciating clever humor and must have seen it as a defect. I thought they'd enjoy the lightness and attempt at morale-boosting. You made my day, I'd hear. Some people saw me as a witty companion but appreciation is lacking among the average worker. I still think they just don't understand, but I've learned to cut back and painfully endure the dull small-talk they practice. I walk at the first sign of banality. Do I want to see pictures of your remodeled bathroom floor? Are you kidding? I think I'll pass. Is that arrogant?

Thats a LIE. .Thats what Drug Dealers, Mafia, Organized Crime guys all say"IF i wanted to, I could have been a CEO, a Legit Millionaire". Then why didnt they? Why didnt they become that "Legit" business man? Because, No one taught them How.No one taught them how to Work, What it takes to be Successful..Responsibility, Punctuality, Respect for others and Yourself. And most Importantly, they were COWARDS, Insecure, Cowards. They were too afraid to ASK someone to teach them how to work.." Hello, can you Teach me how to work? And "Sales' is trying to sell something that person doesnt NEED, on top of what he came for. The Hard Sale. Buy that 25k car, but try to sell him the 30k crap he doesnt need or wanted , or even knew about. Imagins a Drug kingpin at a boardroom? He would be so out of his league. A Mafia boss can kill or intimidate his opppnest if Frustrated. Or Bribe him. You cant doi that in a legit business. And the caliber of people in a drug dealer or mafia circle is going to be LOW. Low IQ .

He may be long winded but he's definitely telling the truth about the mortgage business in the late 90's early 2000's. It was extremely lucrative in those days. I worked for a dude at Golden State Mortgage when I was in HS and even as a processor I was making absurd amounts of cash, learning to get shit approved on the fly multiple times a day was the standard. Crazy shit

It never stopped bro, they get away with what they can at any certain period....sometimes regulations are easy or relaxed and other times strict.....but they always try regardless........any sales job where decent commission is at stake is same.......car salesman is another that is shady Humans are greedy by nature so will always be a problem unless heavily regulated or monitored
@dyathink
@dyathink 2 года назад
@@kirkdunn1379 Agree. I was in mortgage banking for years. I was in underwriting and then risk management. There was always tremendous pressure to give sales what they wanted and yet retain enough quality to get the mortgage sold. It would get wild and out of control, then huge losses, market crashes, mortgage companies would disappear. Then the market would come back, things would be strict, home values would rise and the greed cycle started all over again. Money can be made in a mortgage banking career but it is ebb and flow according to the market and the market has so much to do with how much fraud is/is not being committed. But I loved that business. Same as this guy, I had a fine art degree but loved the mortgage banking industry. Go figure.

Ethical schools can't just tell the world "hey we are certain he is a psyshopath", so learning disability is a good front on that. But that confirms the school knew. However, is he crossed paths with the right people during that time of his life they could of challenged him more and steer his "deficits" into a powerful trait for something good. But nah.

In an odd twist of 6 degrees of separation, I happened to be working in Tampa and Temple Hills, FL during that same time he was elevating Ybor city area (2000-2003). There were actually up and coming areas of Ybor city and I was actually staying in a Hilton Garden Inn right in the heart of that resurgence area. I was working in Tampa and Tempe hills during the week and and then flying back home to the northeast each weekend. So, when he says the homes he was inflating were crack houses, he is spot on. 85% of Ybor city was a bad slum at that time with only a small area of revitalization in progress. Amazing to me that my path and the backyard if his scams interconnected. It further makes me wonder if that resurgent area was due to prospective investments based on his false inflation of housing in the area making it appear as if the region was coming back.

There's no cerebral challenge as an adjuster, there's also no gratification like there is when you pull the wool over someone's eyes and get a financial reward to boot. It's a hell of a drug, exploiting people's weaknesses gives you a feeling of superiority that little else can bring. It's almost on par with talking a girl into bed, a chase and a thrill that is over once the deal is sealed so you move on to the next one.
