i just purchased the conan exiles game recently and i was looking for build ideas and i must say your castle builds are extraordinary, you have really used creativity to the max! i have seen a few other channels so far and this has been one of the best i've seen i had to have the arena DLC after seeing this :D
Thanks Kyle! This is a decent castle build in my opinion, but some of my more recent ones are a bit more ambitious, so feel free to take a look! Glad you're enjoying the content :)
I love how each individual section of your build(s) is a distinct and self contained design that gets worked into other parts of the design to make the entire build elevated in scope and class of skill. It’s also nice to see someone familiar with the function of ‘Hillfort’ castles, I.e. the comment about cavalry and East transfer through the pass, very well done using the environment like that.
This was really great. RU-vid has started pushing your videos on me, and I'm so happy it has. There was some really creative stuff here like the internal bridges and balconies. I also love the inset stairs in the towers. I've never seen anybody else do that, and it really makes a difference.
Hey Roy, thanks for the feedback man, glad you liked the build, and I'm glad to hear RU-vid is actually recommending my content! 😂 Hope to see you around some more!
You know I would say you have definitely raised your game in the past few videos, I am astonished at the fascinating architectural smexiness, of your past few builds, keep it up brother.
Era I have a request for you, some sort of building meant for artists/artist to be able to do any artistic profession in peace, this build should be built in an artistic design and be based around some sort of geological point of interest. Hopefully this isn't too much of a challenge and if it is feel free to edit the standards as needed. Thank you, and best of luck too you.
I do like doing my smaller builds, but the bigger builds is where I can really try new architectural stuff, I'm still getting the exact formula for big builds down, but it seems people are enjoying it. Thanks for the constant support my guy
I like big buttresses and I cannot lie 🤣 Awesome build, I love the utility of it, everything in its place without sacrificing looks. I'd definitely like to see a build guide for this dlc! I have a build suggestion - what about a Beastmaster Outpost? A place to bring captured animals to train, care for and trade them?
Love me some big buttresses 😂 A build guide for this DLC overall might go over well, its quite different from the others. I'll have a little think about it. Beastmaster Outpost sounds do-able, might need some mods though to make it as good as it can be. I'll add it to the list!
I'll watch any & everything you put up. A build guide for this new DLC would be awesome. I'm subbed to you. You & Firespark are the only RU-vidrs I have the "bell icon" rang for also. You cats know what's up! Much love, bro. Keep putting up vids!
Thanks! I'm definitely considering a build guide for this DLC considering it changes a few fundamental parts of (at least my own) building process. Thanks for ringing the bell! You're part of the 10% 😂
Hey, nice build, but i've some ideas on ways to improve your castle a little. First, connect those outer walls with the main building, so things like not being able to place those stairs at the side door and the tower wouldn't happen. Second instead of using reinforced stone for the stairs try black ice or wood, would fit the greyish castle style better, imo. Third, remove that gab at your wall to tower connection by using a line of triangle foundations instead of the sqare ones on the inner and outer part of the tower. Forth, those black T2 or even black iced roofpieces goes great with the arena buildsets.
Thanks for the feedback man, I appreciate it! I like the Arena stairs a lot in certain builds, though Turanian stairs also do work great with the Arena pieces. Glad you enjoyed the build!
Really looking forward to using the new pieces, especially the ceiling and arch doorway pieces. Are these tier 3 pieces? I am planning on building a monastery mixed with other pieces so hope they fit together well.
Great build! The only nit-picky thing I could spot was that there didn't seem to be a barracks for the guards (unless I missed it), but that would be easy to add on... Again Great build - and sorry about the nit-picking...
Yeah it was kinda missing a place for the guards to sleep, the worst part is that there is plenty of room on the roof lmao. I'll have to remember that next time. I'm glad you enjoyed the build!
@@Eradicati0nn To be fair, having been a soldier I can tell you that we can find a place to sleep almost anywhere....I once slept on a pile of camoflauge nets, in the back of a moving truck, during a convoy over unpaved "roads"... I hope you don't mind me "borrowing" some of your builds for my (solo player) game... Great design work!
@@taun856 You've got a good point there 😂 These builds are all designed to be used in your own games, so no problem at all! You can even join our Discord and send some pictures of the builds once you've finished them if you like, we have a channel just for that
I've build this last night. It's actually big. 12x13 plus another 3x5. I had problems squeezing it where I wanted it. For those buiding it as well and putting the trebuches on roof as in video - you will notice that the poles of the trebuches go through the roof down to the rooms. It is also visible in the video. There is a solution - the new Derketo DLC has 'stage' building pieces. I've put them on the roof and put the trebuches on them and now nothing goes into the rooms. At the time of making this video that DLC was not out yet.
Thanks! I've been asked to do it before but it seems near impossible without really heavy modding. I doubt I could build one vanilla without it just looking like a box in some water lol. I'll give it a try but I'm not sure how its gonna come out
I love the castle and tried to build along with you but somewhere I got the numbers wrong or something. I am at the point of building stairs on the left rooftop and somehow can only place one stair from the room before hitting the corner anyways my question would be is there a chance you could do either a step by step or post how many blocks or something anyways I also got the right tower to close to the castle and could not place a door there lol. Left and right is if back is to the cliff and your looking at the keep. I have screenshots and I did a great job for the most part accept some where along the line I got something wrong. Thank you for the video by the way. I am done rambling. Live long and prosper
Hey Ezra, your best bet for getting some help is to join our Discord. We have a help channel that you can post the pictures in and either me or someone else will be able to guide you in the right direction. Sounds to me like your measurements are off somewhere, but I can't say for sure until I see it. As for posting how many blocks and such I use, I never track that because it'd probably extend the time it takes to make the video by another hour just through doing all the cataloguing and maths. I build with Infinite Materials and change things often between cuts, so it'd make the videos really messy. Thanks for enjoying the build and trying it out yourself! Hope to see you in the Discord so we can help you out
Oh jeez how did you end up here 😂 I have far better and easier to understand builds that I've posted within the last year, this one is, in retrospect, not great 😩
@@Eradicati0nn it kinda looks almost like an expansion of the master mason stuff of the base game so maybe thats why its missing parts. i honestly just want it for the pvp aspect for my pve server XD
Yeah stacked foundations are a bit powerful on PvP servers. You could always build the defensive walls with regular wall pieces instead, that could serve as a decent replacement
I see all these builds and go wow. Awesome if you're a admin. For those who have to mine the supplies for that... talk about forever. And if a raid comes after that base.. :-(
Is it just me that makes the pieces look like bad quality. Building a wall with this will make the sun shine through. Also the textures look off compared to the other styles
Yeah some of the pieces look a little damaged, plus they have a slight middle inward lean to them. I still like Arena, but sometimes it can be a bit dull
