Watch as the love of Conan's life stops by, model Rebecca Romijn, and Conan proceeds to make a complete ass of himself by the end of the interview. Go Conan!
Rebecca was always one of my favorite guests on Conan. Besides amazing to look at, she always brought out the best in Conan's raw nervous/awkward comedy.
He didn't lose control. It was all just part of his normal crazy routine whenever Rebecca would come on the show. But he definitely had the hots for her. No doubt about it.
Did anyone else notice how she was able to recite, completely off the hip, the letter "I pledge to you that no one should ever see..." I thought that was pretty damn impressive.
@@canddidd I think you tried to spell "idol". And he was doing all that for comedic effect, calm your tits about how he'd behave like that in the streets
@@winfield841 very true but to his credit, he still maintains the creepy/flirty vibe to an extent without crossing even today’s line. Although yeah, it’s much more repressed now
@@winfield841 Which goes to tell you how messed up "today" is. I mean Ms Romijn (an obviously very smart lady btw apart from being breathtakingly stunning) went to Conan's show like what 4-5 times? Would she really do that if she thought he was creepy? The fact that things like that are immediately labelled "creepy" nowadays just shows how emotionally disabled young people of today are. They can''t see any nuance, it''s black or white. And it's sad.
@@yianpap6093 Agreed. It’s this weird “we accept everyone” but not those whom don’t share similar views era. No one can drop any statement of their liking without considering the slightest chance of it being construed as “offensive”, which I believe made comedy suffer, as nuance died. Emotionally disabled/unstable is definitely spot on. But I’d rather frame it on the subject of contention of this generation which is identity and that touches everyone.
This was the most realistic interview I've ever seen on late night. Any guy who has ever felt awkward around a beautiful woman will understand that Conans behavior was completely justified! 🤓🤪
@@uzraafira1276 Acting according to an anima's evolved programming would be more "justified". Some guys have a stronger built-in reaction to (some?) women than others.
This is what I love about Conan, instead of asking his guests question after question like most talk show hosts he improves and makes it an hilarious interaction.
Conan O'Brien is a goddamn predator of comedy. If he senses a joke or a bit, he just can't help but devour it. He wants to stop, but has to keep going back while the well is wet. One of the best senses of humor I've ever seen.
Gotta say he is genuinely funny in this clip. Great team work from Rebecca R too - great chemistry. Watched it a few times and still find it funny. I think only Conan can pull this off; he is different.
Creepy is a word that gets overused. A guy flirting with a woman his age, who's enjoying the compliments, while not expecting anything in return is not creepy.
Gotta admit, she is the quintessential blonde beauty. I still remember seeing her in Sports Illustrated around '97. One of the few models whose names I remember.
I got to see her in person just a few years after this. She really is so beautiful that it was like she was in another gene pool, or a different species.
I really like Conan because he makes himself a fool, but not in a way that will target the guest directly. He'll use awkwardness targeting himself, often in compliment of the guest (as here), whereas someone like Letterman or Kimmel like to make it awkward for the guest, making them seem laughable, which I find quite bullish.
Haven't seen the X Men movies but Rebecca Romijn was alright in The Punisher which is a kinda underrated Marvel movie, it was a great revenge thriller (the 2004 one).
