The first 5-10 mins they were in the game but thats all they had literally. The altitude, the stadium and the class players of pachuca was too much. Easy 3-0

Columbus crew was nonexistent in this game, they got dominated and learned that in liga mx “names such as tigres or monterrey” mean nothing without momentum, you thought you were facing a minnow yet Pachuca is the only club to have won a tournament in south america (copa sudamerica).
No representa nada.
Had no idea that Idrissi was at Pachuca now. Felt his role in helping Feyenoord win the Eredivisie last season was a bit overlooked so good to see him winning trophies in North America
Felicidades Pachuca for winning the the CONCACAF Champions League., You have a working formula. Winning the Champions Cup on the men's side and Pachuca Femenil historically have done well in Liga MX Femenil, including this past season. I didn't watch the whole match of the Champions League final or turn it on at the begging, but Pachuca look like the much better club. Did CONCACAF have any opening ceremony or concert before the match like UEFA has for their Champions League final? It's been a weird day for me, a whole flip flop of emotions. I just had a death recently, unexpected, so I go through that sadness, to being happy Real Madrid won, to seeing the LA Galaxy lose, and then watching Pachuca win and Columbus Crew lose.
Liga Mx still reigns supreme, as kings of Concachampions. And let me be clear, F... the at home TRAINING tournament called "leagues cup". Room service for mls teams, but THIS Title is what MATTERS!
@@KatieBren I saw those kids jumping and quite happy to be champions. You did not play, and did not win anything. You're NOT entitled to speak for them
Yeah they play, they are crowing and cheering their team, they are champions too, that's why you all are cold chests and don't understand this sport, this is ours, good luck next time...@@TheStoneCodeArt
Prime example why the gold cup nations league, and leagues cup are all played on US soil. The mls cup champs just got spanked by a bunch of kids lmaoooo
Hey but leagues cup with Mexican clubs sleeping in airports was A1 nations tournament that showed MLS teams better than Liga MX 🤣. That was a Messi designed tournament. Just like the World Cup, good for Pachuca as an America fan. I’m happy to see a Mexican high school team beat the best team in MLS.
@@Superglitchymexactly! Monterrey as well. They felt like they had the upper hand playing at home. It was nice to see Pachuca actually taking it serious and playing as they should.
Aparte del Barcelona 3-0 River Plate del mundial de clubes de 2015 no recuerdo otra final en ningún torneo donde un equipo haya sido tan superior a su rival.
Too bad the Mexican national team has been surpassed by the US national team. They can’t keep up. Liga MX has 50 years on MLS, plus a much deeper soccer culture historically. Most Americans still don’t even care about MLS due to other sports but it’s all Mexico has. Let’s see where it’s at in 50 years :)
@@lumenmobileautodetailing4384they really haven’t Mexico is just going through what the USA went through back in 2011-2018 the dark times Chile and Colombia are going through it rn
In Mexico this team is known as Papa-Chuca. Not the biggest club there but always beating the big ones. Columbus was introduced to them tonight, tbh I was expecting a much closer game than this. But I love it. TRES a ZERO!
I love when Argentinians were asked what are the best leagues in the americas they didn’t say Mexico but instead said MLS because their Lord and savior Pessi is in the retirement league. They forget the times Mexican teams smacked them in the copa libertadores when Mexican teams were allowed to
There was an article released from ESPN Deportes in 2015 that shows the age between Liga MX and MLS with Liga MX leading older players and even Transfermarket shows Liga mx having a lot older players than MLS do. Miami is 1 team out of 29 and for me I cannot believe how if you watch the match the oldest player is for Columbus is only 33 while pachuca have a 34, 35 and a 38 year old player. I am a CR7 and at least MLS have Messi even though he is now the villain for Liga mx and MLS.
Mexico nt and ligamx sucks. Ligamx MIGHT be better than Mls RIGHT NOW, but not for long. The MLS will be better soon just like the USA national team is better than mexico national team. You guys try to hype yourselves up too much
Seattle tied Pumas in 2022, Toronto Fc beat America in 2018 and 2024 Columbus beat Monterrey and Tigres at home! They are playing in the US for helping to raise the soccer popularity given how the majority of Americans including Mexicans American prefering to watch and or play baseball and American football. They are also playing there for money.
@@ronaldojohnny7774 Columbus didn't "beat" Tigres at home either. They tied in regular time, which was the final score. Penalties are just a tie breaker.
@@lumenmobileautodetailing4384 tbf, it's not because the US has better players, but because the mexican selection refuses to let good young talent get in and only keep old veterans as a glorified ad (basically the mls vs liga mx situation but with reversed roles)
It was hard for my body to play there in Mexico too, some bodies have an issue with 6,000 feet above sea level and have some sensitivity issues. Everybody body is different, the higher the attitude the less oxygen there is.
@@imromeiito5901 that never happens. The closest was Tigres in Toronto in 2018 but that was 14 F not below 0. If it did, i'm sure the media blocked it since Televisa and Azteca is owned by moguls and bribed by the government.
@@ronaldojohnny7774 that is below zero in mexico temperature is measured in celcius, 14f is -10c, temperature in México is measured like in the entire world, don’t be ignorant
Columbus style did well against tigres and Monterrey style, and that has merit, they are tough teams with great players, but generraly slow., same as Columbus. Pachuca's team play is fire, they ran circles around the crew.

This competition is a horror for American teams. Only three have won the tournament, DC United in 1998, LA Galaxy in 2000 and Sounders FC recently in 2022. 🇺🇸⚽🏆
This isn't that fake leagues cup "we only play at home" thing. MLS is 50-100 years before they can be at the level of mexico.and even though we've had a couple bad decades in Mexican futbol, we still the greatest in the region.
Then take the players to Europe, invest more in the academies and raise the infrastructure because MLS have did and done so so much in the past 10-15 years. To be fair, MLS is only less than 30 years old, and we don't know the future. I can only imagine and want to see the USL Championship teams some who are so much better than some MLS and Liga mx teams having this chance to play.
@@ronaldojohnny7774Tbh Mexico has always had massive potential. Not too long ago they were being praised as world class producers of youth talent, Mexico has two U-17 world cups and for a time was consistently a contender in youth tournaments. Liga MX literally just needs to export more players to Europe. They are the biggest Latin American country after Brazil by population, and are just as passionate about the sport as any South American country. I agree that USL teams should be given a chance. Both Liga MX and MLS need to implement promotion and relegation. I’m hoping our concacaf teams have a good showing in the new Club Word Cup.

Dude….this is just embarrassing, not just for Columbus but for MLS as a whole. Columbus not only got bailed out of conceding a goal by VAR but also got bailed out of receiving a red card in the first half. On top of that Pachuca missed soooo many clear chances that realistically this game should’ve ended like 5-0. It’s also not like they were playing the best team in the Mexican league either or even a team with a star studded line up, they played against two 34 year olds, a 38 year old, the most overrated keeper in the liga Mx and a bunch of academy players. Can anyone who watches the MLS please tell me what happened? Who abducted the entire Columbus crew? Because I swear this team was not this bad against Rayados or Tigres. Then again Tigres and Rayados were both pretty bad this season so maybe that had something to do with how good I thought the Crew was.
Columbus style did well against tigres and Monterrey style, and that has merit, they are tough teams with great players, but generraly slow., same as Columbus. Pachuca's team play is fire, they ran circles around the crew.
Pachuca doesn’t have the depth that the top teams in liga mx do but they gave Club America problems. They were the one of the most fun to watch in all tournaments they participated in. Always looking to score no matter the score line. They were top in the league for goals scored
They arrived literally just 2 days ago that gave them little to no preparation to rest and recover from jet lag and the gruelling 14 hour flight and 8000 attitude. They did not rest yesterday or the day before, they should have arrived a few more days before to better rest and prepare. Pachuca coach have a lot more time to better analyzed and use Columbus tactics against them!
Pachuca was actually the team that displayed the best football in liga mx this season, as far as monterrey goes every soccer fan in mexico know rayados coach flops at semis no matter the tourney, tigres got cocky and didnt capitalize their chances. But give credit to pachuca which is the oldest football institution in mexico, with arguably the best academy producing the likes of hector herrera an lozano as of recently not ti mention pachuca is the only team to win a south american tournament “copa sudamericana”. Pachuca is no pushover.
Yeah honestly don't know why they changed it, at least put at a neutral site like most every other final, esp for a CL where you can't rly go off league position. Given how the game played out though I'd out it would've made a difference
Pachuca are an insanely fast and dynamic team, Columbus's style was ineffective. They did well against tigres and monterrey because they have a slower play, similar to Columbus.

once more we show who´s the real king of CONCACAF... 6 times winner... we play with young player from our own formation schools and under aged teams... over the mountain... over the stars
Why do you have to insult a team like that? I don't see anybody from MLS insulting you if you provoke someobdy like that. To be fair, I seen and hear more people in MX praising MLS than Mexicans in the US do. And to be honest, Pachuca was the better team, but at the same time Columbus have done so much giving the youngsters a chance to play, and sending them over to Europe which is more than I can say for Monterrey or Tigres and they lost! Yet I never said that they are sorry sexuse of a team.

to be fair they faced a team in a league of their own. This just shows that pachuca was too burned/gassed when eliminated in league play offs from so many games played back to back to back. Those weeks of rest and focus had them playing their best. The field probably also needed some maintenance from so much use.
Hey, Fox Suquer. Perhaps the crowning ceremony was too unpleasant to include. Talk about a highlight reel that was supposed to show the Concacaf Final!
And this would happen all the time if the games were fair and they play in Mexico. Same for the national team it’s just different when USA plays in Mexico they almost lose.
Rondon, idrissi, Sánchez are a problem best concacaf team by far people who say america are acting like they didn’t get helped by the refs against pachuca and cruz azul in liguilla
Much respect for Columbus coming in strong in the Final vs Pachuca, but many need to understand that Pachuca FC, historically was created from England. Then becoming Mexico’s first futbol team and has always been dominant in tournament finals.
Columbus crew were the better team if there was a second leg why did they got rid of them? This Hass to be favouritism to lugs maxckys, but also we didn’t have hegan which we didn’t have a party. It probably would’ve gone different 😠
