I discovered what is this absolutely stunning mall, a 70s time capsule in Elkhart, Indiana.
This is Concord Mall. opened in August 1972

I remember when this place was very busy.....this was the mall we shopped at.. Although it was always a smaller mall and drew a smaller crowd, Your right though this place is CLASSIC 70s!! I hope it's never torn down, or gutted of it's 1970s interior.

I’ve lived in Indiana for 51 years. We use to go to the Lafayette square mall in speedway. It looked just like this. My mom use to take us there at Christmas time. It takes me back. Thanks for this.

Lafayette Square Mall must of looked completely different from today, I always liked the picture of the original tall white entrance.

Turn it into a roller skate park. 4 wheels, rubber stops at the top. It go’s with the 70’s vibe of your songs. At about $30 a ticket, back in business 😂.

Interesting how water features were a big part of malls built in the 1960s and 70s. The Monclair Plaza, in Monclair, CA, had a clock that resembled Big Ben (I think) in the middle of a water feature at the mall's center. As I recall, walking out of JC Penny would put you in front of the clock. And See's Candy would be on your left. The other department stores in the mall were May Company and Broadway.
