The very fact that the Concorde that was used in the film was F-BTSC, the exact same airframe that was later involved in the crash of Air France Flight 4590 on July 25th 2000, Just gives so many bad vibes every time I watch this movie..

I love how he just flares the Aim-7 which is a radar missile. And also the last time an airliner capable of mach 2 did high G manuvers it ended up on the ground in pieces at the paris airshow.

Absolutely brilliant! Some interesting trivia, 1. the Concorde used for filming is the same one that ended up crashing 20+ years later, and 2. Concorde can indeed outrun most fighters (other than perhaps the F-22?) because of its supercruise ability. Fighters without supercruise will quickly run out of fuel from all that afterburner use. Also there was one more flight in that movie, the leg from Paris to Moscow, in which Robert Wagner again attempts to shoot them down, this time resulting in a fuel leak requiring them to make an emergency landing in the snow at Patscherkofel ski resort near Innsbruck. I'd love to see you attempt that landing yourself, as well as react to more aviation movies from before you were born! :)

The funny part is they used a flare on a fox 1. A fox 1 is a semi active radar guided missile which means it uses the radar of the plane that fired it to track. The flare would not effect missile since it does not track heat sources

It's really hard to evaluate this movie from a non-aviation and non-technical perspective because the "story" is basically nonexistent outside of the Concorde stuff, and what little story there is is so heavily entwined with the technical stuff that when they get something wrong (which is like, 90% of the movie), you REALLY notice it.
