When first time ever I heard about Concorde, I want to fly with it in the future, but then I found out it already retired. Fly high speedbird😭❤️

I'm super lucky to live right by Dulles, where the SFUH museum is. They have one there and I never understood why my dad always seemed to feel so attached to that plane. It wasn't until your channel taught me about it that I was able to appreciate it as well.

I’m one of the rare lucky ones to have been on the Concorde. I was super young like 8yo (I’m 35 now) and it was at the Oshkosh airshow. It was a short flight that they offered but they took off and flew over Lake Michigan where they were briefly allowed to go super sonic. It Flew up into Canada and then back down to Oshkosh. I don’t know how many flights they did per day but in total it was less than an hour. And as many probably have heard before, when your inside the cabin you don’t really notice much of a difference when you break the sound barrier other than people would clap and cheer looking at the monitors showing the speed as we passed over the lake. As I get older that gift my dad gave me and my brother for the 3 of us to go that day becomes more and more special. If I remember right it was like $700 per seat! And that was back in 1995 or 1996 I think. So probably closer to $1,500 in today’s money.

Very sad seeing an airplane fly for the last time. I’m very unlucky to be born the year after the Concorde was retired. I would’ve loved to see it flying or even be on a flight with it. At least, we will have the Concord 2.0 with the Boom Overture set to be introduced in 2029. *Fly High Concorde.*

I flew on the Concord aged 6 😮, that was 1991, UK to France, it was like a roller coaster ride, the thrust is insane on the take off I was crying 😂😢❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

I can’t believe it’s been over 20 years since Concorde’s last flight! 😢

FUn fact: The Concorde was retired because it had such immense speed that it broke the sound barrier, making sonic booms that were annoying and painful for people on the flight and on the ground. It was also retired because of the lack of fuel efficient. It also had a lack of maneuverability due to the sweep wing design.

Nothing can replace the Concorde and never will. Atleast we have the Overture in progress, so we can bring back supersonic travel.
