@@bulletsponge84 the song is in a “Quadra formed” result from a “science” perspective… a guy named Joe and Bob stole the “money” kind of in the same sense of “Billy Joe and Bobby sue” that took the money and ran sang by Steve miller. That one is actually allegedly Bill got into politics, Joe became a judge, Bob a success rock musician, and sue had sex with all three of them….

My mum was a high functioning but dire alcoholic. Her drunken abuse and violence toward me as a child and adolescent saw Community Services get involved. I understand now that she was self medicating her pain and that underneath she had a depressive mental illness. I sensed her deep seeded pain as a small child and on the inside I felt sorry for her as she'd slam my head into the wall, grab me by the hair so I couldn't move my head as she close-fist punched me in the face, smashed an empty glass bottle over my head, the lot. I guess I'm still stuffed up because of it even though she's been dead 10 years but I never really blamed her for it either.

Tough subject matter, great lyrics, and haunting voice have made this song timeless. I was 16 when it hit the airwaves in 1990, and it has always been a favorite of mine. Johnette has under-rated powerhouse vocals. And James Mankey is one of the best on guitar! ❤

Don’t forget Paul Thompson on drums. Was in the classic Roxy music lineup. There are few who have been in two amazing bands.

The whole band sounds impeccable! I couldn't distinguish if they were using playback or live for a minute. Excellent band, excellent song. And live is even better!
