April you should lite sand the top edge of the concrete so it's not crisp edge make it a rounded edge but looks fantastic and you are the best I love watching your videos.

That looks AMAZING!!!! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you and your team taking the time to share the journey with us. I just have one note I would’ve done different on the concrete counters. IF you ever need to replace the sink, it won’t be fun. You used a drop in sink, but it looks like you poured the concrete over the entire lip sandwiching the sink between the concrete counters and the concrete underlayment, basically making it appear as if it is an under mount sink. I would’ve poured the counters first, then dropped in the sink.

Beautiful outdoor space. I just finished a concrete bathroom countertop. I used the Concrete Countertop Solutions products as well. Unfortunately the surface is more rustic (showing aggregate) than I had hoped for. I have been told that my timing on using the steel trowel was the reason. Now that the tile backsplash is finished I am learning to like the look. I may make a coffee tabletop with leftover product to see if I can improve my technique….I want to learn from my mistakes.

Nice cabinets under the concrete countertops. We are building out-of-pocket and are using tool cabinets for most of our base cabinets as we find it’s much denser storage and deep drawers beat swing-open under cabinet storage for us.

you can run a bead of silicone on the corners of the form to make a round over on the bottom/corners of the concrete. this is good if you have kids or just want to cut some of the sharp edges.

I don't plan my projects according to skill level of my Viewers. It's too widely varied and I can't please everyone. I've always just always just built what I need and want, bringing a camera along to show the process. I have been wanting an Outdoor Kitchen for awhile and it just isn't a weekend build. Some Viewers, when doing a small, simpler build, complain that I can do better, etc. You can't please everyone.

@@AprilWilkerson …do not change your style… do projects that YOU need or want…. Please, don’t ‘cater’ to viewers. For example, this outdoor kitchen project can be broken down into many sub-projects… Deck, roof, lighting, cabinets, countertops, etc. Many thanks from a (very) longtime viewer.

I wonder (as someone who has never done any concrete), if air bubbles could be completely eliminated with a vacuum champer before it's poured into the molds. But that might be too much work, to fill a bucket at a time, vacuum it and pour. Idk.

Loving the outdoor kitchen series, and hoping to see its various features highlighted in a big cookout/get-together video with friends and family! Been watching your YT videos for years, and very much enjoyed seeing you on _Assembly Required_ -- I search every so often to see whether you've been picked up for a season 2 (fingers crossed!). Question on the sink install: With the concrete running in past the sink's lip, preventing its ever being lifted out, what if it had to be replaced or pulled for some reason? Cut the cement board from underneath around the lip and drop the sink? Not a criticism of your build, but just one of the issues I've thought about that's so far prevented my trying concrete countertops. Anyway, great content, as always!

Thanks April, as a retired tradesman, I thought that I had seen it all. That's an amazing product. I'm curious as to the porosity of the cement. You may end up with it stained with some fine Texas BBQ. Also, I wonder if a multi-color, marble effect would be possible; or possibly ad some colorful aquarium gravel as aggregate, and grind the top afterwards. I dunno, sounds problematic, but, penny for anyone's thoughts. Thanks Again
