I cant say enough good things about the S70. I've been in the Landscaping and hardscapng business for 34 years and bought a S70 machine 5 years ago. It is a like saver on your back in tight spots(less manual digging) and it is a very versatile machine. Yes I agree with other comments that the S70 is NOT a good machine when your dealing with wet conditions or ruts in lawn areas. The track machines are the way to go in that application but if you are not a young fellow like me, I would rather sit in a machine then stand on one for 5-8 hours. Just my opinion.
You set the standards for cement contractors. The rest of them on RU-vid are just laborers. You operate and have your own equipment. The one thing the rest of these failures need to realize is you have to invest in your business / yourself, and you always look at the big picture / payback. This proves you are the best in the west from a concrete contractor and a businessman.
Because of your videos with the s70 you really convinced me on buying one. Actually tomorrow im supposed to get approved to buy an 2018 s70 with 130 hours. Plus a concrete breaker and grapple bucket. We do alot of concrete demo and that harbor freight jackhammer and wheel barrows got old really quick. Great videos big dog
I really appreciate comments like “if I went back and started over this would be the first purchase.” That’s a comment that pushes me to buy one as my first bobcat.
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete Thanks bRo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yo de man that i want as a dad and maybye i will go to the movies with you and the girls or watever your doing this sunday!!!!!!!!!!!💪💪💪💪💪✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️🤑🤑🤑👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊👊
My company has used bobcats exclusively for the last 20 years, both excavators and SKID Steers, but I’ve been watching you operate that case and I’ll tell you what, for a rubber tire machine that’s bad ass. You’re a pretty damn good operator-I watch the way you keep your work area clean, keep everything smooth. I watched you dig in that photo where you were cutting out the wall and you dug the front edge of your footer first-why would you do that instead of taking out the back and then digging the front edge? you kept driving over the cut edge. good video!
Thanks bro. I originally started to dig the footing perpendicular with the hillside but eventually got stuck. It rained for a week straight prior to the excavation and the soil was super expansive.
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete thanks man! working on a remodel at a gold/silver wholesale shop today and they are having a blast with metals off the charts today. sooo much incredible things going on everywhere.
I have to kindly disagree. I owned a s70 for many years and it was a great machine. However we did make the switch to a ditch witch sk600 I have not found 1 thing my ditch witch won't do that my s70 did. However my ditch witch is way more stable and less tippy. You can clearly see it in the video and that's on level ground. Also I find even more handy in tight spots plus it floats over turf and mud with ease since its on tracks. Not a concrete guy but a hardscaper in the landscape industry. We work our machine hard and we remove our fair share of concrete. Just my 2 cents.
@@GardenGateLawn Good to hear! I'm definitely leaning towards the ditch witch, just thought I'd pop the question cuz there's a basically brand new s70 fully heated cab, bucket, forks, Harley rake, etc... 200hrs for $18,000 20 minutes from me. The DW looks much better for the landscaping application, but damn are they expensive.
Michael Zeleznik I hear you but they are worth every penny. I wish I would of switched sooner. I really wanted the wanted sk800 but didn't want to spend the extra money. They sold me a sk600 brand new for 22,900 before tax with a bucket. S70 also ruts yards bad ditch has low psi.
I don't know if you listened to this guys video but he made $3,000 in two hours. You don't use tracks on concrete. It'll burn them off. You two geniuses should post a video of you planting tulips with you tonka toy.
I run a small landscaping business I was wondering how is it on grass is it going to Mess it up or if you take the easy Will it do Ok Also don't know if you have any experience with it dingo type of machine But if so how does it compare
To be honest, I would say the dingo type is better for a landscaping I am a concrete guy so for me S70 is ideal. You will have a problem tearing the grass up.
Can you tell me the max safe incline for the S70. I need to climb up and down 10' and need to know the length of a ramp I should build so it will safely climb with a full bucket. Much thanks. Mark
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete Thanks for the reply but I'm thinking that is way to steep for the climb. I got to go up 10' so my ramp would have to be at least 20' long I would think and even that to seems steep. Take care.
You can get one at a local bob cat dealer. It can load a dump trailer or a 5 yard dump truck. If you load a ten Wheeler with it you have to make a ramp with dirt👍
Hey I'm looking to purchase my first machine that being this same s70. There is a used one for 15k in my area do you think its worth it. How reliable are they and are they easy to do self maintenance on?
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete 2013 with 600+ hrs. I really appreciate the input I watch your videos often and you've inspired me to do it myself. Looking to get my first dump trailer and bobcat. 🍻 from arizona brother
Hey don that brand is bob cat they don't hold up💯 check out my more recent videos I run a soosan and it's a beast 💯give me a call and I will hook you up with one 👍
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete awesome man I appreciate it, I’ll have to give you a call sometime soon, I’m a general contractor in Phoenix. I was looking at the SB180 breaker but I’d like to hear more about the doosans like you said. Heard good about them
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete Thanks but im having trouble finding it, is it comparable to the NB140?? its operating weight is 500 pounds it looks to be the most heavy duty you can put on a S70
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete the hydraulic hammer I have a s70 just trying to acquire some decent attachments before season starts here. Nice vids btw just found your page I like your work man
@@embrj1453 yes they do. If you buy one now there is a one year waiting list. Used ones are hard to find. Plus expensive. People finally figured out the versatility 👍
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete Nice I’m happy it comes in both options I’m not really good at foot controls where it controls the bucket. Also,I’m thinking of starting a demo service got any advice for a new guy ?
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete okay I appreciate it I’ll be starting in the Bay Area hopefully first thing next year my dad was a contractor who just passed.I love construction and I just quit my job because during his funeral they rush me to get back to work.I’m choosing to work for myself never want to have someone control my time or money.
