Hey man, I have a short question, how do you control the way that the slab dries. I heard that on a hot day, a slab can crack if it dries too quickly. Southern California is the desert. Extremely dry climate with very low humidity. Pour wetter to give more work time and allow to cure correctly.

What’s the matter, can’t take some criticism? Floating steps are a fad. You’ll be ripping them out in a few years and putting in the new fad. Good for you, at least. I live in Canada, floating steps don’t work up here. Freeze/thaw kills them. If you stepped outside shithole California for a second, you’d know that. You can step up to our league here. Floating steps are old news any more. We use step liners by the way. If your floating steps are that monumental in your mind,try working with us on a few jobs.
