Sometimes small trips hazards in concrete can be removed using a concrete grinder. A concrete grinder is a machine with a diamond circular blade that uses abrasion to remove the top layer of concrete. It is a cost effective way to remove trip hazards caused by small amounts of movement in pavement. In this case, a concrete curb has raised up relative to the sidewalk. We are grinding the top of the curb down to make it flush with the sidewalk elevation to keep someone from tripping on it. This also works well for doorways where the bottom of a door hits the payment when you open it.
