Concreteman and Onsite are two independant entities operating in South Africa, usually working in joint ventures, utilizing Carmix machines exclusively in their operations.
Both these entities initiated their operational programmes a few years ago , initially for private use only since Fanie van der Merwe , the owner of Concreteman , is a property developer and building contractor by trade and therefore it made good business sense to purchase his own machines, for amongst others the following reasons:
1] the advantage of mixing fresh concrete on the building site for foundations and floors , thereby mitigating wastage usually caused by traditional readymix mixers traveling a distance before being able to pour the concrete
2] being able to effectively manage time schedules for pouring because there is no dependency on outside contractors , who usually have to travel distances to reach the building site, and consequently the external variables are eliminated
3] furthermore the concrete is poured ' on demand' so to speak. No logistics are required other than managing the operator and ordering raw material. Again, external variables are curtailed.
Consequently Fanie realized an enormous void in the construction and building industry pertaining to concrete, particularly for the reasons as stated above, and market research has shown this assessment to be accurate.
Also, a loadcell measuring unit gives proper accounting of the raw material being reworked and the exact strength of the end product, giving the client peace of mind in meeting the market and engineering requirements for the end product.
