Nice modification 👍👍 Reminds me of those condensors that are using metal blade Torin branded fan blades, which most of the time will make the indoor unit temp colder than usual, such as Carrier, McQuay/York/Acson commercial line of air conditioner.
I also saw this fan in Philippines around Colon, cebu but the condenser is a 2003 Koppel Aircon and it has a 1997 Asahi Industrial Wall Mounted Exhaust Fan Grilles
Basically, normal Air Conditioner's indoor air outlet temperature is 10°C - 20°C But you made a very Awesome Modification on your Air Conditioner that makes the Indoor unit's air outlet temperature colder. And if the indoor temperature reaches below 0°C, your room will might be like a freezer because it's very cold...
With the original fan, the air coming out of the indoor unit was 22°C on average. With this new hack job, the air coming out is around 17°C. It's still a low power AC though, there's no way it could get the air temprature in my room to go below 19°C without changing the outdoor unit to a bigger capacity one.
I did not watch your video in random. I LITERALLY searched condenser ulit 😂 Its hell here in Manila right now very hot 🥵 For me "aircon" means "i want freezing temp" ❄️❄️❄️❄️ Suggestion: Place hard ice on the water pan. Not ice cubes it melts easily - but hard ice by placing water in plastic ice bag fill it to the brim and place it in the ref
Man, I hope it gets cooler soon up there. Actually placing raw ice in a tub of water won’t make much of a difference than placing the ice in a bag before putting it in the water. If anything you’re wasting a bit of energy by placing a barrier/insulator between the ice & water.
I had ideas for a double zone air cooler back then, and used this unit as my test mule of sorts. Because this outdoor unit doesn't generate that much heat, the condenser acts a bit like an evaporative pad
You said an upgrade with a 46 watt fan. Use the OEM motor…6 watts was the design, otherwise you have a different problem. Also the first 46 watt fan was a counterclockwise rotation, hardly a good swap for a clockwise fan blade..
As far as power is concerned, nothing went above what’s rated for the unit. Fan blade rotation doesn’t really affect airflow performance as long as the motor’s rotation is correct for the particular bladeset installed. I have since stripped out all the modifications done to this unit & returned it back to original
also you might wanna find a more weather sheilded area for that switch as I dont think it will survive the monsoon season you guys have. maybe if you want to go full fancy mode then how about a temp controlled switch which will change the speed of the fan and turn on the water
That's what I've been thinking about. It'll be great if the unit can switch the motor power levels by itself according to the time of day, outdoor temprature, and indoor unit settings. But covering the switch with a plastic bag will do for now.
Why is the AC like that? How come the propeller is like an AC carrier and a saijo Denki?[The saijo Denki air conditioner is an air conditioner made in Thailand]
Hahaha we're not quite there yet, but I think if the plan to add a heatpump in my room ever materialize, I can get sub zero temps. Not that I want it though lol
The blades are a bit off balance, but as far as I'm concerned, it won't lead to damage on other parts of the unit. That said, yes I will balance the blades one day.
