Condenser Microphones for Smule

Two years ago, I never thought I'd get myself a condenser microphone to sing on Smule or use it for other recordings. I am confident that I made the right choice to get a high-end/quality mic. Are you planning on getting a condenser mic as well? Here is a quick comparison between the Neewer 700 and the Audio-Technica 2035 so you can see the difference between a cheap mic vs a mid-range price mic.

If we have an iPhone 12 . Use the adapter for iPhone .. we don’t need the one u have in the links

Now I have volt1 interface with only one xlr port, and at2035 mic, wired earphones, and camera lightening usb adapter for iphone. I can hear music but I can not hear vocal playback from at2035. I have vocal monitoring on on the app. I don’t know what to do? Do I need to buy one more interface to get two xlr ports 😢. Help anyone?

Thanks for an informative video! 👍 Would be good to know what audio interface and what model Phone/Tablet you are using for your setup. I'm looking to buy a used iOS device since android devices sometimes have compatibility issues, as well as lacking some functionality in the Smule app. For my Samsung S7 a Behringer Mixer worked fine, while a Zoom H5 didn't Work well. Also a Samson Q2u USB Mic connected directly with OTG adapter to the S7 phone had problems with stuttering non fluid audio. Mostly frequent popping noice, despite external power supply. Just as an example. Maybe interesting to someone. Anyway, good luck and my best wishes for you!

You need a phantom power supply or the soundcard V8. 😊

Did you use the technical audio microphone with phanton power as well, what model of phantom power did you use with the audio technica?

Lovely questions! I have never tried using a handsfree headphones before while using external microphones, BUT, it might work but not with the type of setup I have. I heard V8 soundcard make wonders and I might get it someday.

Any condenser microphone or even dynamic mics need a phantom power to work especially if you want to use it on your phone. I used my old phantom power from neewer.
