Best and most perfect instructions I've seen for just about anything. Only had problem with very last step cleaning up artifacts. Maybe I missed something but was able to clean up manually. Thanks.
Select all "artifacts" - good lines but with bad attributes (mouse from left up to right bottom) Deselect the spiral (Shift + triple click, or Ctrl+Shift+triple click) Now only artifact are selected and you can do anything with them. (Right click to one of them - Entity info -Soft and Smooth)
Be more specific. I made this tutorial because I did not found any tutorial how to do cone spiral (using free version of Google Sketchup), not to speak of more easy, and I had to discover it myself. But as I updated in the Description, now the free plugin for spirals exists, which make this difficult approach obsolete...
