Coneheads, Part 3 of 3 

I watched this cartoon when I was about 8 or 9. Also tried to imitate Beldar's voice: "I am Beldar, from the planet Remulak. Can I help you?"

I get the feeling this was intended to be a pilot for a series , the movie that came out ten years later hits a lot of the same beats as this

Shame this wasn't a series, the anime is beautiful.

I think they showed this cartoon in front of a live audience from Saturday Night Live. Their laughs and clapping were recorded for this (kinda of like what All in the Family in it's last season and Archie Bunker's place did).

Jack Davis was the production designer, I knew the drawing style looked familiar!

The woman who voiced Connie in this played prymat sister in the movie

it was a short-lived tv series, yes. I don't even remember if I saw more than one episode.

3:04 I know this is a Rankin Bass toon but the portrait makes me think Jack Davis was involved.
