Coney Island’s Amusement Park Has Been Closed Over 1 Year

Coney Island is usually a hot spot destination for residents of New York City and beyond, with its famous boardwalk and historic Luna Park, home of the Cyclone roller coaster. But it’s been over a year since anyone set foot on a ride. The pandemic forced owners Tracee and Alessandro Zamperla to keep the park shut through the summer after it closed down for the season last October. The couple say they’re eager to reopen, and have spent hundreds of thousands on COVID-19 safety precautions. #InsideEdition

That couple has a very good point. Gyms, schools, and casinos can reopen, but not outdoor amusement parks. They should definitely be able to reopen at some limited capacity

NOPE it is NOT safe to reopen amusement parks. Everyone is going onto the same rides, and there might be a high chance on contracting COVID. Unless you want the employees to wash the rides after each operation lol

Fun fact: Antonio Zamperla S.p.A. is also a ride designer and manufacturer based in Italy : They made almost all the rides at Luna park expect the coaster
